Devon General Hospital Foundation Since 1994, the Devon General Hospital Foundation has been focused on promoting and improving health care services offered to it's community.

We have provided Devon with an ambulance, a courtyard, life-saving equipment, and have greatly improved patients quality of life and care. Funds are raised through annual campaigns, memorial trusts, corporate contributions, special events, sponsorships, gifts-in-kind and more. Our volunteers, sponsors, and donors are the key to our success and we could not be more grateful for the support we continue to receive from them. Donna joined the Devon General Hospital Foundation Board out of a deep desire to connect more meaningfully with her community and to make a positive, lasting difference in local healthcare. With over 20 years of experience in administration and marketing—including 14 dedicated years in the public education sector—she brings a wealth of organizational expertise, strategic communication skills, and a passion for service to the Foundation.

Donna is deeply committed to ensuring that local residents facing medical challenges receive the highest quality care and support right here at home. She is proud to work alongside such a dedicated team of volunteers to enhance the hospital’s vital programs and services.

The Foundation recently funded a new covering for the hospital stairs, helping protect this important pathway from snow and ice. With public parking located at the bottom of the hill, these stairs are an essential route for patients, families, visitors, and staff.

It’s a practical improvement, but it makes a meaningful difference, especially during our Alberta winters!

Giving back to those who give so much to our community! 💚

On July 9 and August 11, 2026, the DGHF had the pleasure of hosting Staff Appreciation BBQs for the team at Devon General Hospital.

Our Board members and volunteers came together to fire up the BBQ, serve some good food, and, most importantly, show our hospital staff just how much they are valued and appreciated. 🥰

We received so much positive feedback from staff about how meaningful it was to have the community come together to recognize and thank them. It was a wonderful reminder that giving back isn’t just about fundraising — it’s about showing up for the people who care for our community every day.

To all of our hospital staff: thank you for everything you do. And to our Board members and volunteers who helped make these BBQs possible: thank you for giving your time and helping us build a stronger, more connected community.

Each year, up to five bursaries of $3,000 are awarded to dedicated students who are enrolled full-time in a Registered Nursing or health care–related program, regardless of faculty or year of study.

Do you love helping people, chatting with your community, and being part of something that makes a difference? We’d love to have you join our Gift Shop volunteer crew!

We’re looking for volunteers to help keep the Gift Shop open on Saturdays, with 3-hour shifts between 10 AM and 4 PM.

Whether you’re a familiar face in the community or someone looking to give back, your time helps us keep the Gift Shop running and supports the work of the Devon General Hospital Foundation.
