Hello once again...the Tuesday community lunch in Deux Montagnes was very well attended last week and it was so good to spend time with all our regulars and those returning from various trips etc. As we progress into the summer months the menu for the free lunch at noontime will include some of the fresh local produce that is offered in our local stores.
This coming week there will be a watermelon and feta cheese platter to start. Then satisfying michigan hot-dogs and corn-on-cob. This all accompanied with rainbow coleslaw and chef salad.
Desserts will be strawberry tarts, pineapple cake and pumpkin-pie with ice-cream plus a fresh fruit salad.

Just a reminder that we will be open each week until the last two weeks of July and then closing until the middle of August. You will be informed of the exact dates.

For the second week of June we have planned a tasty menu for allcomers:
With a starter of crudite and dips, followed by a delicious pasta bolognese with garlic bread. Then grilled cheese and ham sandwiches and a fresh cauliflower salad.
The desserts will include a no nonsense cake and a chocolate gateau. Plus fruit salad and dessert.
We look forward to sharing the lunchtime goodies with all our friends and neighbours as usual at the Oasis Church, 214-14th avenue in Deux Montagnes. Doors open at noon.
Our venue will stay open each Tuesday until the construction holiday in July and we re-open on the third week of August.

Continueing our weekly lunches until the middle of July - we have plans for the upcoming noontime gathering on 2nd June...
The meal will have an opener of tortilla chips and salsa; the main dish is to be turkey pot-pie accompanied by potato salad. Then a choice of Bologna subs and fresh chef salad.
The desserts will include pumpkin pie, gateux & banana bread, cookies and fruit salad.

What a beautiful day today.. clear and sunny and loads of spring blossoms in the garden🌅. Give thanks for days like these, and spread the blessings to all those who may need them.
So here is the menu for the coming Tuesday Lunch:
Starting with a refreshing water melon and following up with a main course of Pizza accompanied by chicken salad on a bun and some refreshing salads. Lots of delicious desserts as usual.
So hope we see you there again at our usual venue - 214, 14th avenue in Deux Montagnes.

How nice to see the sun and sit outside listening to the birds this afternoon...hope everyone is enjoying the long Victoria Day weekend?
Planning for lunch at the gathering in Deux Montagnes again this coming Tuesday.
We will be starting with some crudités and dip, with a main course of BBQ chicken legs 'n thighs with corn cobs or fries. A nice summery orzo salad as an accompaniment or chef salad. There will also be ham'n cheese wraps. Finally to round out the meal for your sweet tooth - lots of cakes, biscuits or bread 'n butter pudding.
Looking forward to seeing all the usual lovely folks from the neighbourhood for this free lunchtime treat; at noontime at the usual venue 214-14th avenue in Deux Montagnes, Q.C.

Someone said - spring is in the air- and I am looking forward to warmer weather with great anticipation...
So with that in mind we are now no-longer serving soup for lunch, instead there will be surprise appetizers each week.
Starting this coming Tuesday we will greet you with platters of succulent watermelon; The main course will be tender and tasty pulled pork with caramelized onion on a bun.
There will be your favorite egg sandwiches and a satisfying multi-bean salad along with the fresh green salad.
Desserts will include cakes, muffins and cookies galore....

These Tuesday Lunches in Deux Montagnes have become quite an attraction; so many of our local residents come each week at noon to reconnect with their friends and neighbours and the free lunch is much appreciated...
The menu planned for the first week in May is starting with a creamy delicious carrot soup, and the main course will be a satisfying layered cabbage casserole and a pasta salad. We also offer bologna subs and a fresh green salad.
Lots of desserts to wind-up the occasion a choice of different gateaux including strawberry tarts and Banana bread.
Cherry-chip cake & pumpkin pie.

Such a great bunch of friends and neighbours stopped by again for Lunch last week...so the plans have been set for this coming Tuesday .
Here is the menu for the free meal prepared by our volunteers for your enjoyment:
Starting with a satisfyingly delicious chicken and rice soup, followed by a main course of tasty Jamaican Patties and roasted potatoes. We will accompany that with Bologna subs and a lovely grilled veggie salad, alongside the fresh green chef salad.
The desserts are one of the alltime favourites of apple crisp, also chocolate mayonaise cake and cookies and other offerings for your sweet tooth.

Wow these weeks just fly by - a full house at the Lunch gathering last Tuesday - so we are catering for a larger number, there will be food for all don't worry!

Sorry for posting a little late this week, but here is the menu for The Tuesday Lunch at noontime at the Oasis Church on 14th avenue in Deux Montagnes. Come one come all for a delicious free lunch offered to all our freinds and neighbours!!
Starting with a lovely roasted butternut squash soup, and followed by baked breaded chicken legs and tasty vegetable fried rice. There will be ham and cheese wraps and a delicious fresh green salad.; finishing off with a bread and butter podding for dessert and other cakes and cookies to satisfy your sweet tooth.
