Latino Workers Support Society

Latino Workers Support Society LWSS builds pathways that connect isolated foreign workers with a supportive community.

Jon and I, Kim, are starting this page to communicate with members of the community what activities and needs the Guatemalan and Mexican workers have here on our community. We are members of Cedar Park Church and rely on working with the church family to support these workers. For those who don't know us yet, Jon is a Guatemalan, and I am from Ladner. We met and married in Guatemala but life circu

mstances brought us back to Ladner. When Jon heard there were Guatemalans here in the community it became clear that God has brought us here for a purpose. Jon is excited to serve his people in any way and part of that is making the workers feel accepted and loved in our community.

Several temporary foreign workers working in the Summerland area had to be evacuated along with all the other residents but, of course, they had no where to go. This organization is working hard to support them during this time.
