Luke 17:11-19 // Thanksgiving is obviously a special time of year where we, as followers of Jesus, are encouraged to be more attentive to the goodness of God in all that he provides, and more disciplined in our hearts to be thankful for it. In our text this Sunday, the gospel writer shares a story of Jesus healing an unlikely group of people all at the same time. What is unique in this encounter is what happens after the healing. Luke highlights one specific person from this group, who turns their thankfulness into worship, and their gratitude into glory.

Our Pickleball Ministry is excited to kick off their regular season on Wednesday, October 14th! Sessions will run Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, so there are lots of opportunities to get active, enjoy the game, and develop friendships with people from our church and the wider community.

Moments for Ladies will be kicking off their season TONIGHT (October 7th) at 7PM in the Fellowship Hall. Ladies of all ages are welcome to join us each month as we enjoy fellowship, fun, and food while exploring different topics and themes. This year, each event will focus on a different characteristic or name of God and we will hear a word of encouragement from various ladies sharing from their hearts. From crafts and hands-on activities to games, demonstrations, music, and door prizes, there is something for everyone! Our kitchen team always prepares delicious themed treats to enjoy as well.

We are looking forward to another amazing season of M4L and we encourage you to invite your family, friends, neighbours, and co-workers to join us.

Genesis 12:2-3 // As we finish the Radically Generous: Joyful Obligation series, we explore the exciting and glorious enterprise of Kingdom stewardship, and examine practical applications that may help form our hearts to be radically generous in our stewardship of God’s resources. Compelling, winsome Christians who are participants of God’s mission of redemption are radically generous. We are called to be conduits of God’s favour, grace, and blessings that are poured out by God toward his world. In us and through us, God will bless his world. Grace isn’t merely God’s attitude toward us; it becomes the reality within which we now live. What a privilege and joy to live as stewards of God’s Kingdom!

We are excited to announce that our church's Thanksgiving offering this year will go towards the projects for our 2027 Mexico Missions Trip. As we shared this past Sunday, we have the opportunity to partner with several incredible ministries doing gospel work in Vicente Guerrero. These include Oasis, an after-school care ministry that helps to educate and support students of working families, Hope Village, a transitional housing centre for women fleeing abuse, and Welcome Home, a ministry that provides daycare and identifies families in need of support and housing in the community.

As we have been working through our Radically Generous: Joyful Obligation series, we have been considering practical tools to help us put into practice some of the stewardship and giving principles we've uncovered. As one of those next steps, we are excited to be hosting an Estate Planning and Legacy Giving Workshop with Advisors with Purpose.
