What do swimming🏊 , bowling🎳, a giant slip ‘n’ slide🛝, a beaver clock🦫, and a wheelchair obstacle course have in common?

They were all part of the fun at the Adventure Poker Run, held on Saturday, August 1!

Participants made their way around Deep River in a variety of fashions; biking, driving, ATV's, and even walking, completing a different challenge at each of the five checkpoints before receiving their poker card.

Together we raised more than $5K for the Get On Board: Connecting Community campaign, which now sits at a total of $638,632 (85%)🎉

The day ended with an unforgettable grand-prize victory.🏆

Zoe Leblanc completed the event with an incredible hand of four aces! She was so ecstatic about winning she did an entire gymnastics routine on the field!

Zoe takes home an inflatable paddle board courtesy of the folks at Global Furniture Group and some swag donated by Ottawa Valley Air Paddle.

What an incredible day!

The 4th Annual Run For Home was filled with energy, smiles, determination, and an overwhelming sense of community. Whether you ran, walked, wheeled, volunteered, donated, cheered from the sidelines, or helped behind the scenes - you made a difference.

Together, we raised just over $40,000 for the Get On Board: Connecting Community campaign, bringing us one step closer to providing accessible transportation for residents of the Four Seasons Lodge and others in our community who may face mobility challenges.

All participants must check-in at the Deep River Legion except for our Mobility in Motion participants. They are to meet at the Deep River Hospital on the field at Balmers Bay and McElligott.
