🏅Honouring a True Volunteer-Doug Antler

Missing Link snowmobile club is proud to honour Doug Antler, recipient of the King Charles III coronation medal, recognizing Canadians who have made significant contributions to their communities.

Doug has dedicated countless hours to building, protecting, and strengthening our community, and as a founding member of the Missing Link snowmobile club and the person who came up with its name. Doug helped create the vital snowmobile link between East Deep River and west North Bay working alongside the Mattawa snowmobile club.
His contributions go far beyond snowmobiling from helping establish the RAP Trail (Round Algonquin Park),opening the waterway from New Liskard to Ottawa to the formation of the Deux Riviere fire department. Organizing fishing Derbys that raised over $75,000 for trails and development to improving Ottawa river water level monitoring and advocating for hunting and fishing opportunities.
Doug has always been willing to step up and make a difference, his vision, determination and countless hours of volunteer service have left a lasting mark on our region.
Congratulations Doug and thank you for everything you have done for our community. You truly represent what it means to be a volunteer.

🎉 What a fantastic day for SCSR! 🎉
SCSR held their Annual Meeting & Elections this past Saturday at the beautiful Sands on Golden Lake Resort, and what a great turnout it was! 🏔️❄️
The attendance was excellent, the food was fantastic, and we had the pleasure of celebrating some truly amazing volunteers with our annual awards. 🏆👏
We’re excited to announce that a full slate of officers and directors is now in place for the 2026–2027 snowmobile season! 🎉
🏆 A HUGE congratulations to our very own Missing Link volunteers!
🌟 Karen Sloan was named Woman of the Year in Snowmobiling! What an incredible honour and a well-deserved recognition of all the hard work and dedication she puts into the sport.
🌟 Our youngest volunteer, Parks Miller, took home Youth of the Year! 🥳 We couldn’t be prouder!
👏 Karen was also nominated for Secretary to sit on the Executive Committee (ExCom) Board for District 6. Congratulations, Karen!
And congratulations to ALL of the award winners across District 6! 🏆🎉
Snowmobiling doesn’t happen without the countless hours, hard work, passion, and dedication of volunteers. From trail work and grooming to fundraising, events, administration, and everything in between — it truly takes a team to make the snowmobile season what it is! 💪❄️

OUR CLUB WAS THE FIRST TO OPEN THEIR TRAILS DECEMBER 27,2025 and LAST ONE TO CLOSE APRIL 4,2026 !

Last weekend, we hosted our Missing Link Snowmobile Club Landowner and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner.

It was an opportunity to recognize and thank the many individuals whose dedication, hard work, and support make our snowmobile trails possible each season.

A sincere thank you to Margaret and Christopher Emery for hosting such a memorable evening. Despite the rain, everyone had a wonderful time! Not only did Margaret and Christopher graciously host the event, but they also prepared all of the delicious food. Your hospitality and hard work are truly appreciated.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our landowners, volunteers, and everyone who purchases trail passes. Without your generosity, dedication, and ongoing support, snowmobiling in our community would not be possible.

Your support allows the Missing Link Snowmobile Club to continue providing and maintaining our trails for everyone to enjoy.

We truly appreciate everyone who buys a trail pass—your support plays a vital role in keeping our trails open, safe, and well maintained for all riders.

Thank you to Peggy from District 6 for attending, and to Kerry McDonald and the Timberline Club for all of your guidance and support throughout the year.

A special thank you to Sam, our groomer mechanic, for keeping our groomers in tip-top shape and ensuring we had reliable groomers running smoothly all season long.

We would also like to recognize Doug and Marion Tucker, our Missing Link Snowmobile Club Family of the Year. Thank you for all of your hard work, support, and dedication over the years and throughout this season.

Thank you to Laurentian Hillbillies for providing the fantastic music and keeping everyone entertained throughout the afternoon despite the rain.

As another successful season comes to a close, we look forward to an even greater snowmobiling season next year!

Recognizing One of Our Own

As a club, we would like to recognize a volunteer in our community. Patricia Scrivens has selflessly given many hours to help make our snowmobile club what it is today.

Beyond the Missing Link Snowmobile Club, Patricia dedicates her time to many worthy causes in and around the Greater Capital Region as well.

On Tuesday April 14th, 2026, Patricia was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Ontario Medal for Good Citizenship. The Honorable Lieutenant Governor Edith Dumont honored recipients during a ceremony held at the Lieutenant Governor’s Suite at Queens Park in Toronto.

Congratulations Patricia! Well deserved. We are proud to have you as part of our community!

All trails in Snow Country D6 have closed for the season.
We’d like to thank our dedicated volunteers & staff for another great season. 14 clubs provided riders over 2800 km of available trail, 9000 hours of grooming, and a season stretching from mid December to April 4th.
To our landowners and supporters, we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you!
Just because the trails have closed doesnt mean the work stops. Our Clubs are already gearing up for the 2026-2027 season and could use your help. Reach out to us and we’ll put you In touch with your local club.
