🏅Honouring a True Volunteer-Doug Antler
Missing Link snowmobile club is proud to honour Doug Antler, recipient of the King Charles III coronation medal, recognizing Canadians who have made significant contributions to their communities.
Doug has dedicated countless hours to building, protecting, and strengthening our community, and as a founding member of the Missing Link snowmobile club and the person who came up with its name. Doug helped create the vital snowmobile link between East Deep River and west North Bay working alongside the Mattawa snowmobile club.
His contributions go far beyond snowmobiling from helping establish the RAP Trail (Round Algonquin Park),opening the waterway from New Liskard to Ottawa to the formation of the Deux Riviere fire department. Organizing fishing Derbys that raised over $75,000 for trails and development to improving Ottawa river water level monitoring and advocating for hunting and fishing opportunities.
Doug has always been willing to step up and make a difference, his vision, determination and countless hours of volunteer service have left a lasting mark on our region.
Congratulations Doug and thank you for everything you have done for our community. You truly represent what it means to be a volunteer.
