Our pages are intended first and foremost for BC SPCA supporters. We welcome feedback and open discussions and invite you to participate with respect for this community. We ask supporters to please respect differing opinions of others. By participating in conversations on this page, you are agreeing to our commenting policy, as outlined below. We reserve the ri
ght to remove posts that include any of the following:
- anything containing the personal information including full names, addresses or contact details of individuals without their permission
- profanity, inappropriate remarks, foul language
- personal attacks, or antagonizing of other commenters, staff, volunteers, our organization, other organizations or other people or businesses
- graphic or violent content (text or images)
- threats, demands or promotion of violence
- irrelevant topics or content that is considered to be off-topic
- inaccurate information
- spam, promotion or ads or links leading to or promoting other websites
- non–constructive critique or comments
- matters regarding staff or volunteers
- promotion of people or organizations responsible for animal abuse or poor standards of animal welfare
- request for the support of an illegal activity, including the unauthorized rescue or theft of a privately owned animal
- partisan political content in support or opposition to a political candidate or party
- other comments the BC SPCA deems to be inappropriate. Please note, we take reports of animal cruelty very seriously, but they are not appropriate to share or report on social media. Please contact the BC SPCA Provincial Call Centre at 1-855-622-7722 with any reports of animal cruelty. If you violate this policy, you will be removed from our page. Comments or imagery that we deem inappropriate may result in removal from our page without notice. We understand that social media is a 24/7 medium; however, our moderation capabilities are not. We do our best to manage inappropriate comments in a timely fashion and we trust in the maturity of our community to respect these guidelines for participating in this community.
