The Dawson Creek Triathlon on Sunday, July 12 is in need of volunteers to guide athletes and keep them on course. We have an adult course and a large youth event (age 4-15). Last Saturday Len, Eric and Pat moved and re piled the firewood South of the shop and did a couple of other small jobs.

Our AGM will be in Room 2310 at Northern Lights College, which is beside the library. This is a different room from last year.

Can you help out on the ski trail system? We need volunteers. We will arrange a Saturday work party or two. You can join us then OR if you have other time available, let Patt know at 250 219 6235 and he will meet you up there to get you started.

Jobs include grass cutting, repiling firewood, moving the wood away from the shop, generally cleaning up the shelters, cabins and toilets, tree limbing, wood splitting, vacuuming the shop floor and other odds and ends. Talk to Patabout the jobs. Pat, Bernie, George and Jim would really appreciate the help.

Do you know of anyone that would like to live at the trails? Our caretaker of 17 years may be retiring soon. We need someone like him to live on site. Contact Pat at 250 219 6235 if you know of anyone.

IMPORTANT MEETING:

BMNSA AGM Monday, June 8, 7 pm at Northern Lights College Dawson Creek, CCET room

There will be a draw for a club membership from those attending. There will also be pizza provided.

This coming season we want to build our membership and increase the number of people taking lessons, both children and adults. Your ideas and input are welcome.

Trail update from Pat O’Reily:

We will groom one more time tomorrow morning, Friday. Top loop, Marmot, Wolverine, Bear. There is some decent spring skiing for some time yet. Log Cabin, Weasel, Mink, Marten, and Wolf hills have short bare spots. The road is graded.

Get out and take advantage of the late snow pack. There might even be some skiing into May for the die hards!

The temperature is good this morning. Will groom the top trails and Marmot to the cabin and back up Bissette, Wolverine and Weasel. Great spring skiing!!
