✨ Potato Fundraiser — Just in Time for Thanksgiving ! ✨

The Nawican Bergeron Youth & Cultural Centre is excited to offer generous 10 lb bags of locally grown potatoes for just $5 each — perfect for whipping up those creamy mashed potatoes and hearty holiday dishes! 🦃🍽️

📍Where: 10200–17th Street,
When : Today till 5 pm and Tomorrow from 9am to 5pm
💰 Cost: $5 per 10 lb bag
🌱 Locally grown — fresh and delicious!

All proceeds from this fundraiser go directly towards supporting youth programming, helping us create opportunities, activities, and spaces for our young people to grow and thrive.

🔥 Community Fire Gathering – Mental Health Awareness Day 🔥

To honor Mental Health Awareness Day, we’re inviting everyone to join us at the Nawican Bergeron Youth & Cultural Centre for a special community fire on our cultural grounds.

Bring your instruments, your stories, and your good energy! This is a time to come together, share songs, and enjoy some relaxed, meaningful connection.

Our teepees will also be open, creating a space to sit with Elders, share stories, and connect the way our ancestors did — through conversation, music, and community.

This is a beautiful opportunity to gather, support one another, and honor the day in a way that strengthens community ties. 🧡

We are doing our first fundraiser to help get 10 youth from our community to Vancouver for a conference called Gathering Our Voices! It is Canada’s largest Indigenous Youth Conference! The goal is simple and strong: to provide Indigenous Youth with the tools to empower and inspire so that they can contribute their gifts to their communities and the world 🌎 So come down today to support these awesome kiddos!!

We are deeply grateful to Aboriginal Family Services for walking beside us in this year’s Truth and Reconciliation Walk. Your support — and the incredible meal you prepared — made this day truly meaningful.

This walk is more than a gathering. It is an act of remembrance, reflection, and commitment. We walk to honour the children who never came home, the survivors, and the ongoing path to healing and justice.
