HEAL NS is hosting a PrEP and Doxy-PEP assessment drop-in with STI Care Now. Stop by our office on Friday, October 23rd, anytime between 1 pm and 4 pm for a FREE assessment with an on-site pharmacist.

Assessments are free for anyone with a valid government ID. We cannot provide financial coverage for medication, but we can help you navigate resources to access cheaper meds. Please note, the initial assessment is the first step in the process and you won't leave with a prescription that day. The pharmacist will get you set up with all of the next steps, then follow up after any required tests.

Not sure what PrEP or Doxy-PEP are?
-PrEP is a medication that an HIV negative person can take to greatly reduce the chances of getting HIV.
-Doxy-PEP is a medication that someone can take within 72-hours after having unprotected s*x to help reduce the chances of getting chlamydia, gonorrhea, and syphilis. Unfortunately, right now Doxy-PEP can only be prescribed to cis men, trans women, and AMAB gender non-conforming people.

To learn more about PrEP, Doxy-PEP, and other STBBI prevention methods visit CheckMeOut.ca

Thank you to the The Pop-Up Thrift Co. for the generous donations!

Somewhere at the end of the hall is a smiling ED!

If anyone would like to donate, call 902-420-0103 to arrange a convenient time. Winter Coats, comfortable pants (yoga, streach, or jogging pants), cozy hoodies, and sizes XL+ are especially in demand currently.
