We had 14 ladies out today. Our special entertainment was Trina who told us all about her bus trip down into the states on a quilters trip. Thank you Trina for all the interesting info & the cheese. Until next time.

Good day ladies! (Rhonda Hayes) I have been drafted from the
Quilts of Valour - Canada to be a quilt presenter in the East Central area. I did not know this before but the QOV will accept finished tops, and they will get them finished. No cost to quilter. So, if any of you have quilt tops that you have no plans for and want to donate them to QOV that would be awesome! Thanks.

What a beautiful day although a bit windy. 18 ladies showed up today. Several of us ventured down to Shorncliffe Lake to partake in lunch served at the booth. We could have sat inside out of the wind, but it was not bad as nice & warm. The ladies that stayed home or had other plans, you missed a great day. See you all in two weeks.

Yesterday we celebrated the 25th year that the Czar Quilters have been going. What a party. The hall looked like a quilt show, friendships were renewed, lots of visiting, and the food was amazing. What a great day. Thanks so much to Carol Penman for all her organization skills & to all the women who worked so hard to make it such an amazing day.

Joann Fabrics has closed all of its physical store locations following Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, with all operations shutting down by May 31, 2025. The 82-year-old retailer, known for sewing supplies and fabric, was acquired by its lenders, and its IP was sold to Michaels, marking the end of the chain's retail presence.

I have noticed that there has been ads popping up on FB and Pinterest. Fake news.

Well the weather stopped a lot of our members from coming out today; we only had 11 members & only two quilts on display. Hope we have a lot more in two weeks time. See you then.

The first picture is what greeted us this morning as we entered the hall for another fun day at Czar Quilt Guild. Thanks Carol you are awesome. The others are what was on display. There were 15 of us who braved the snow & cold wind to come out today. We had fun as the Easter Bunny came sometime during the night with gifts for us. Thanks Easter Bunny. Until next time… 🐣.
