FREE Kids Art Workshop!

Be part of a collaborative community art project!

Join us for a free kids art workshop on Sunday, July 12th at 2:00 p.m.

Open to all ages. PARENT SUPERVISION IS REQUIRED, as some materials and techniques may not be suitable for all ages.

About the Workshop

Each participant will design their own unique art square to become part of a giant collaborative quilt-inspired mural. Once assembled onto a large 24x36 mat, the individual pieces will come together to create a colourful community masterpiece celebrating creativity, imagination, and connection.

This final artwork will be displayed at the Cupids Legacy Centre as part of Art Around The Bay.

A variety of materials will be provided, and kids will get to choose whichever ones they would like to use. Fun techniques using different materials will also be demonstrated throughout the workshop.

Your child will have the opportunity to learn and practice using these materials while creating unique works of art.

All participants will receive a certificate recognizing their contribution to the project.

We heard you loud & clear and today we’re delivering🎣

Your recreational food fishery will be open 7 days a week from Canada Day to Labour Day, and the boat limit has been lifted.

Minister Joanne Thompson has made a meaningful change that puts safety and families first.

🛟 This means no more rushing to meet short openings or feeling pressured to head out in unsafe weather. People can now plan their time on the water, choose better conditions, and fish safely.

On behalf of my constituents in Avalon, thank you Minister Thompson for listening and for making this happen after years of advocacy. Congratulations to everyone who filled out the survey this winter and spoke up. Your input helped shape this decision.
