Our first Blue Jays raffle draw took place yesterday, with Lions members present to mark the occasion. Congratulations to Tracey, our first lucky winner!

Tracey will get to attend the July 18 Blue Jays game against the Chicago White Sox and also receives $1,000.00. We hope she has a wonderful time cheering on the Jays!

Children at Risk provides year-round programs and support for autistic children and their families, including a summer camp that offers children a safe and welcoming place to learn, connect, and enjoy new experiences.

The Cumberland Lions Club is proud to support the important work they do in our community.

Last weekend, members of the Cumberland Lions Club were at the Navan Farmers Market to help promote the upcoming 2026 Pet Valu Walk for Dog Guides, taking place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Maple Hall in Cumberland.

The walk will support the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides which helps provide specially trained Dog Guides to Canadians living with disabilities, at no cost to them.

Did you know that it costs $35000 to train a dog guide?

Did you know that they train dogs to be a dog guide in one of seven different program areas: Diabetes Alert, Facility Support, Seizure Response, Vision, Hearing, Service, and Autism Assistance?

This event is organized by the Cumberland Lions, Orleans Lions Club, and the Navan Lions Club.

Registration begins at 1:30 p.m., and the walk starts at 2:00 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to join us, whether by walking, making a donation, or simply coming out to show their support. Every contribution helps make a difference in someone’s life.

A heartfelt thank you to the Cumberland Ontario-Community Association(CCA) for organizing the Spring Village Clean-Up and for bringing our community together once again.

The dedication and ongoing commitment of the Cumberland Community Association to our community speaks for itself. We are proud and grateful to be able to count on their presence, support, and partnership in so many local initiatives.

It was wonderful to see residents taking part and contributing in their own way to keeping our village clean and welcoming.

Registration is now OPEN!

The Cumberland Lions Club (CLC) Tennis & Pickleball Court Memberships for the 2026 season are now available.

The CLC Tennis & Pickleball Court membership gives you unlimited access to use the Betty von Tobel tennis courts located next to the R.J. Kennedy Memorial Community Centre (and Arena) on Dunning Rd. Access is on a first-come, first serve basis from early-May to mid-October.

We are raffling off three (3) chances to win a Blue Jays home game ticket bundle. Each bundle consists of 4 tickets in the 200 level and $1,000 to help offset your travelling costs. This is a prize value of $1,400 - $1,700 per bundle.

The sooner you purchase your tickets, the more chances you have to win as your tickets remain valid (if not a winning ticket) for all draws remaining from the time of purchase.

Draw dates and prizes are:

Draw 1: all tickets sold up to June 9, at 11:59 pm – Draw June 10, at 7:00 pm for the July 18th home game against the Chicago White Socks.

Draw 2: all tickets sold up to July 7, at 11:59 pm – Draw July 8, at 7:00 pm for the August 16th home game against the New York Yankees.

Final draw: all tickets sold up to August 11, at 11:59 pm – Draw August 12, at 7:00 pm for the September 12th home game against the Baltimore Orioles.

We’re happy to share that thanks to your generous support during our silent auction at Maplefest, we were able to raise $1,245.

All winning bidders have been contacted, and we hope they enjoy their items. Thank you as well to our incredible sponsors, this would not have been possible without your generosity and support.

In the spirit of community that defines Maplefest, some of our Lions also visited the Cumberland Lodge the same day to deliver freshly prepared food from the event. A small gesture, but one that we hope brought a bit of extra warmth to the residents 'day.

Thank you again to everyone who contributed and helped make this year’s Maplefest so special.
