Crystal Beach 5K Run/Walk The Crystal Beach 5k Run/Walk is an annual Canadian Thanksgiving Weekend tradition in Crystal Beach, Ontario.

REGISTRATION FOR 2026 IS OPEN NOW AT www.crystalbeach5k.com Started in 2005, this race offers something for everyone, whether your a seasoned runner looking to PB or a beginner looking to challenge yourself. This race has grown from 70 people to over 700 people because we trying to deliver good value by adding lots of bells and whistles. Every year we have awesome "sponsor free" race shirts, custo

m bibs, sea shell medals, a great after party with live music, music on the course, an awesome goodie bag, live anthem singers, vintage pace cars, celebrity starters, etc. We've even done cool things like a WWII Fighter Plane flyover, a roller skating Elvis, soldiers from the War of 1812, Fluffy the Clown, a starters cannon...you name it! This is an excellent family tradition that continues to grow every year!

We’re committed to making 2026 the biggest and best ever CB5K and we’ve been reviewing most every aspect of the race! One thing we think is long overdue is the addition of a few new age categories! Not much is more impressive than young kids running in the 5k, and we really don’t think it’s fair for a 5 or 6 year old to compete with a 9 year old! Likewise, on the other end of the spectrum, we felt our old age category of 70+ needed some tweaking! So instead of 70+, we will have 70-74, 75-79 and 80+. If you’re over 70 and you’re getting out there and kicking butt you deserve a more level playing field and a shot at even more recognition!!!

We hope you like these changes and stay tuned for ALOT of additions and innovations!

Just some of the cool race posters we have had over the years! The last couple of years we’ve forgone doing them but it’s a tradition we will be bring back in 2026! Men’s and Women’s Overall winners will receive a framed copy as part of their prize package! 🏆. Preregistration is already at 25 and we are a year away still! The price will never be cheaper than it is right now, and it’s still cheaper now with registration insurance than it will be after our first increase on Jan. 1! The CB5K is held Canadian Thanksgiving weekend each year! Although Crystal Beach is best known for its summer season, it’s beautiful all year round! It’s a fast and flat course, mostly under a canopy of trees, ideal for a morning fall run, and maybe even a PB! Enjoy an awesome walk on the beach and the gorgeous fall colours! We are so fortunate to have great local business support for the race! It really is a big deal in our little village! is a boutique hotel right on the race course, moments from the start/finish line with 13 over the top themed rooms including retro, glam, beer, cabin and more! These rooms book out early for 5k weekend because of Thanksgiving and the race. Why not make a weekend of it and that way you can enjoy the after party just a tad more? Check them out! Crystal Beach is an awesome place to visit in the autumn! Maybe a Ladies 5K Getaway or a romantic couples Run & Relax weekend! A short walk to great restaurants and shops including South Coast Cookhouse, Rizzo’s House of Parm and Shaka Farm to Beach!
