🚶‍♀️🐾 27 KM. ONE BIG HEART. A LOT OF KITTIES COUNTING ON HER! 🐾🎂

Ellie is turning 17… and instead of asking for birthday presents, she's asking people to help her raise money for rescue cats. 💛

On Saturday, October 3, Ellie and her family and friends—Lorie Sachs, Donna Ebeling & Mackenzie Turcotte—are taking on approximately 27 km of the Legacy Trail from Canmore to Banff! 🥾⛰️

Yes… you read that right. 27 kilometres.** 😳

Ellie has been volunteering with Tails to Tell since she was just 10 years old, so helping cats is nothing new for this dedicated young lady. Now she's putting her birthday to work for the kitties she loves. 🐱💕

They're looking for more people to walk alongside them! Whether you tackle the full 27 km or join for part of the adventure, every step helps.

This beautiful female cat who was brought in as a stray from Olds earlier today.
She is pregnant and appears to be approximately 6–7 months old.
She does not have a microchip or tattoo.

If you believe this is your cat please call 403-946-0400 ext 6.
Proof of ownership is required.

Friendly Reminder: Any cats not claimed within 3 days (10 days if they have a microchip or tattoo) will become part the Tails To Tell family and may be getting ready for their forever homes.

🐾💕 KITTEN SEASON… THE TINY PAWS ARE KEEPING US BUSY! 💕🐾

Since April, when kitten season really got underway, 93 little ones have come through the doors of Tails to Tell.

Ninety-three tiny lives.

Some arrived needing bottles and round-the-clock care. Some came with their mamas. Some were old enough to start discovering the world right away, while others needed time to grow, learn, and get ready for their next big adventure.

And along the way, something pretty wonderful has happened.

Some of our kittens have visited our amazing pet store partners and already found the families they've been waiting for.

Others are still growing and getting ready for their big debut.

And right now, 20 adorable kittens are ready to find their forever families. 🐱🏡

Behind every one of those little faces is a story.

A beginning that may not have been easy.

But hopefully, a future filled with warm beds, full bowls, toys, sunshine, snuggles, and a family to grow old with. 💛

And if you're thinking about adding one little bundle of chaos to your family…

Kittens often benefit from having a feline friend to play with, learn from, and keep company—and let's be honest, two kittens means twice the fun, twice the purrs, and twice the opportunity to fall completely in love. 🐾💕

Side effects may include:
🐱 Random zoomies at 2 AM
🐾 Finding cat hair in places you didn't know existed
😹 Talking to someone who absolutely does NOT answer back
🛋️ Losing approximately 87% of your couch
💛 Having a furry shadow follow you everywhere

Our Barn Buddies Program is designed for cats who are happiest living life a little differently. Some are feral. Some are semi-feral. Some are surprisingly friendly. What they have in common is that an indoor-only home isn't necessarily their idea of paradise.

What IS their idea of paradise?
🌾 A barn, acreage, shop, stable, warehouse, or outbuilding
🏠 A safe, warm place to shelter
💧 Fresh food and clean water every day
💛 Someone who makes sure they're safe and cared for

These cats are independent, resourceful, and perfectly happy doing what comes naturally to them.

This beautiful 5 year old Siamese girl may not be a senior herself, but sometimes a cat simply needs the kind of home that our Seniors for Seniors Program provides: quiet, patient, loving, and predictable.

Kyra is a shy girl who takes a little time to trust. But once she feels safe, something wonderful happens…

She lets you in. 💕

Kyra enjoys gentle pets, feather toys, and curling up in a cozy lap while you watch TV. She gets along with other cats and has been around dogs, although she'd much rather they respect her personal space. 😹

We believe Kyra would truly benefit from being in a permanent foster home where she can decompress, build confidence, and discover just how wonderful life can be when you have someone you trust.

💛 THAT'S WHERE SENIORS FOR SENIORS COMES IN.

Our program pairs senior humans with cats who would benefit from the calm companionship of a quieter home.

And Tails to Tell takes care of the expenses.

Let's be honest…Cats are excellent at keeping secrets. 🤫

They can be feeling under the weather and still look at you like, “What? Me? I'm perfectly fine. Now where's my dinner?” 😹

That's one reason regular veterinary checkups are so important. Cats are masters at hiding when something isn't quite right, and sometimes a vet can spot little clues before they become bigger problems.

A routine visit can help with:
🐾 Early detection — catching things you might not notice at home
🐾 Preventive care — keeping those little health concerns little
🐾 Vaccines — making sure they're protected
🐾 Life-stage care — because kittens, adults, and seniors all have different needs

And let's face it…Your cat may strongly disagree with the whole “going to the vet” idea. 😂
