Introducing Jessica Piccinin, the New Executive Director of the Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce.
The Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the appointment of Jessica Piccinin as our new Executive Director. Jessica brings a wealth of experience and passion to the role, aiming to help the Chamber connect and support local businesses. She will work with our strategic plan to ensure sustainability and effectiveness and foster strong relationships with our many local government partners.
Jessica's professional journey is rooted in marketing, advertising, market research and finance, complemented by her entrepreneurial spirit. In 2008, she ventured into the Self Employment Program at Community Futures and launched her own business, Root and Vine Acres. What began as a small operation growing tomatoes and cucumbers blossomed into a diversified farm business.
In 2020, Jessica expanded her entrepreneurial endeavors by adding a local food distribution business to her farm. This venture delivers farm-fresh food from over 20 Creston Valley farmers and food producers to communities including Kootenay Bay, Balfour, Kaslo, Nelson, Castlegar, Trail, Fruitvale, and Salmo. Jessica continues to manage this successful business, ensuring that high-quality local food reaches a wider audience.
In addition to her farming and distribution business, Jessica is currently working with Community Futures Central Kootenay as a Start-Up Business Advisor. Her extensive network and rich business experience make her an ideal leader to propel the Chamber forward in our community.
We are confident that under Jessicaβs leadership, the Creston Valley Chamber of Commerce will thrive, fostering a vibrant business environment and nurturing strong community connections.
Please join us in welcoming Jessica Piccinin to her new role!
