Lunch and Learn series. Check it out!

We have a special Lunch and Learn for February.
We've partnered with Kootenay Employment Services for a Professional Development Series, throughout 2025 we'll have some incredible speakers join us on a variety of topics relating to disabilities in the workplace.

To start us off, we have Jenine Lillian speaking about Neurodiversity in the Workplace, providing education for employers when hiring people with neurodiversity through lived experience.

Jenine Lillian (they/them) is a neurodivergent consultant, educator, artist, writer, and librarian. For more than 25 years, Jenine has taught information literacy and professional development in the United States and Canada.

After receiving a very late-in-life diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Jenine started their neurodiversity consultancy to raise awareness, reduce stigma and increase inclusion for neurodiversity and other invisible disabilities. Jenine lives in the West Kootenay's, BC, Canada where they can be found making art, talking with folks on sidewalks, birdwatching, building community through volunteering, and practicing self-care. You can connect with Jenine at [email protected] and explore their website at www.jeninelillian.com.

Date: Thursday, February 20th, 2025
Location: Jimmy's Pub Banquet Room + Virtual
Event Time: 12pm to 1pm
RSVP: By February 17th, 2025

February's Lunch and Learn provides a free catered lunch, sponsored by Kootenay Employment Services, but RSVP's are still required for in person attendance. You can RSVP by emailing [email protected]

This will be a very insightful talk in relating to neurodiversity in the workplace for local businesses, so take advantage of the chance to learn and network over lunch!
