📣 It was a record year for Cranbrook Burger Month! 📣

This March's fundraiser sold over 6,600 burgers and raised $66,675 towards the Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society’s project to build a standalone hospice home for the East Kootenay!

Thank you to Fire & Oak, Brixx Brewhouse, Marysville Pub, Bayleaf, Fenwick & Baker, The Modern Olive, Munch Café & Deli, ABC Country Restaurant, Heritage Lounge, Fire Hall, Hot Shots Café, Casino of the Rockies, Ella’s, The Heidout, Buckhorn and Main, Encore Brewing Co., Stemwinder Bar and Grill, Mr. Mikes, The Sullivan Pub, and Boston Pizza Cranbrook for the delicious choices!

We also want to give a thank you to everyone who bought a burger and supported this year’s event, as well as a special thank you to Keon Chung, owner of JUST MUSIC, who accomplished the incredible task of eating all 20 burgers! Keon has been eating his way through burger month every year since the very first one. He says he loves to always support local and is very happy to be part of these important initiatives.

When someone from our region needs specialized care in Kelowna, their loved ones can find a home away from at JoeAnna’s House. In the words of Les, who found himself there after his wife was in a head-on collision, “JoeAnna’s House is irreplaceable…it’s the community you need when you feel alone.”

The new 10 bed expansion scheduled for completion in August 2026 will ensure that more East Kootenay families are able to access this incredible support in Kelowna when they need it most.
