There's still time to log your rides! β³οΈπŸš΅πŸš΅β€β™€οΈ

πŸŽ‰ Spring GoByBike Week may be over, but there’s still time to make your rides count!

Did you bike during the campaign but forget to log a few rides? No problem! 🚲

⏰ You have ONE WEEK to backlog your rides and ensure every kilometre is included.

Why log your rides?

πŸ“Š Your rides help demonstrate the demand for safer cycling infrastructure across BC
🚲 They show that people choose bikes for transportation, health, and everyday trips
🌎 They help highlight cycling's positive impact on our communities and environment
🎁 Eligible logged rides are also counted toward prize draws

Every ride tells a story. Every kilometre helps build a stronger case for cycling in BC.

Take a few minutes today to log any missing rides and help us capture the full impact of Spring GoByBike Week!

πŸ‘‰ Log your rides at GoByBikeBC.ca

The Rotary International year runs on its own unique timeline, from July 1st to June 30th.

For Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary, as we near the end of our 2025-2026 year, led by our wonderful President Iris, our Community Granting Committee continues to work diligently to support worthwhile projects in our community, with the most recent presentations taking place at our beautiful Peace Pole in Idlewild Park:

🐾🐢🐱 Leslie Long Rescue for much needed food for all the animals they rescue and rehabilitate.

🌞🌻🌳 Breakthrough T1D Canada for low-sugar snacks for their upcoming walk in Idlewild Park on Sunday September 27, 2026. The public is encouraged to come out and join them on the walk.

Happy World Bicycle Day! πŸš΅β€β™€οΈπŸš΅β€β™‚οΈ

This is also GoByBike week (https://gobybikebc.ca/) and Participaction Community Challenge month (https://cranbrook.ca/news/lets-get-cranbrook-moving-together-in-june-with-the-participaction-community-challenge)! Thank you to John & Debbie Mandryk from Active Cranbrook Physical Literacy Society, Canada for recently presenting to our club on the importance of staying active!

Not to mention that our WeBike Cycling Program volunteers are very busy promoting cycling skills and safety at local schools!

And last but not least, have you registered to ride in the 2026 Kootenay Rockies - Gran Fondo and/or signed up to volunteer?

🌎🚲 Happy World Bicycle Day! 🚲🌎

Today is extra special because it's also Day 5 of Spring GoByBike Week!

Across BC, thousands of riders are choosing two wheels to get where they need to goβ€”and making a difference with every ride. πŸ’™

Whether you're commuting, running errands, heading to school, exploring your community, or riding just for fun, today is the perfect day to celebrate the bicycle and all the freedom, health, connection, and joy it brings.

🚲 Ride somewhere new.
🚲 Take the scenic route.
🚲 Invite a friend or family member to join you.
🚲 Log your ride and earn entries for provincial prizes.

Today's challenge: Share a photo from your ride and tag so we can celebrate World Bicycle Day with riders from every corner of BC! πŸ“Έβœ¨

Every ride counts.
Every kilometre matters.
Every rider helps build a healthier, happier BC.
