Cranbrook Sunrise Rotarians were thrilled to attend Saturday's BC Trails Day, organized by our good friends at Active Cranbrook Physical Literacy Society, Canada and including the opportunity to register our bikes with the Cranbrook RCMP 529 Garage safety program.

The Rotary International year runs on its own unique timeline, from July 1st to June 30th.

For Cranbrook Sunrise Rotary, as we near the end of our 2025-2026 year, led by our wonderful President Iris, our Community Granting Committee continues to work diligently to support worthwhile projects in our community, with the most recent presentations taking place at our beautiful Peace Pole in Idlewild Park:

🐾🐶🐱 Leslie Long Rescue for much needed food for all the animals they rescue and rehabilitate.

🌞🌻🌳 Breakthrough T1D Canada for low-sugar snacks for their upcoming walk in Idlewild Park on Sunday September 27, 2026. The public is encouraged to come out and join them on the walk.

Thank you to John & Debbie Mandryk from Active Cranbrook Physical Literacy Society, Canada for recently presenting to our club on the importance of staying active!

Not to mention that our WeBike Cycling Program volunteers are very busy promoting cycling skills and safety at local schools!

At this week's Tuesday morning Cranbrook Sunrise meeting, PDG Allan Davis awarded a Paul Harris Fellow to Shannon Fisher, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to our community.

Shannon has been a leader in our community for many years, and Sunrise Rotary is thrilled to bestow this honour upon her. Congratulations, Shannon! 👏🎉🌻🌞

At last week's Tuesday morning meeting, the Cranbrook Sunrise Community Granting Committee presented our club's most recent grant, to support the rejuvenation of the Cranbrook Public Produce Garden.

Our guest speaker, George Watson, shared an excellent update regarding Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society, including their hospice house project.
