Hello everyone!

We are excited to share some new changes to the Port Whitby Derby.

On top of the current season winner division we currently have (the Scotty downrigger prize), awarded to the highest total combined weight of the largest Salmon from each of the 3 events (3 Salmon total); we have added 2 new categories, brought back one category from a few years ago and added a junior anglers division for the first event!

Mystery Salmon weight:
One randomly selected weight will be selected by the executive. The weight will be between 15 and 22lbs. The Salmon closest to (above or below) will be awarded the prize. The weight will be different for each event.

Junior Angler Day:
A new division for the largest Salmon caught by a junior angler for the first event. This fish does not need to win a regular category prize to qualify. No additional entry fee! Only requirement is that the team notify the executive before the start of fishing.

Largest Salmon of the season:
Single largest Salmon caught during any of the 3 series. Payment will be made at the last event. If the winner is not at the final event, alternative arrangements will be made.

Big Box Bonus:
The highest total combined weight of 3 Salmon from all 3 events (9 Salmon total) wins this division. Requires participation in all 3 events.

We also increased regular division payouts by 20% for all 3 events.

What an interesting day for the last PWSFA Salmon Series and the Great Ontario Salmon Derby
The quality and quantity of salmon was outstanding considering the blow we had earlier this week.
We welcomed 19 teams with 104 rods for today’s battle.
Today was also the day that our overall winner was decided. The team with the most weight of 3 fish (1 from each tourney) is the winner of a Scotty 1116 downrigger.
The overall winner was team C I A . Congrats to Mark Gary Max and Brett, you guys rock!!!
The winning team of the day was Reel Mistress Sportfishing. Rob, Mario and Steve were able to land 3 fish for a total of 73 lbs. A 29.12 lb kicker fish was weighed into the GOSD.

We would like to graciously thank all the teams that have participated this season. The PWSFA was able to donate over 8000$ to Metro East Anglers and all the NetPen projects spread on the Northshore.
The following are pictures of prizing and the winning teams.
Id also like to thank Connie and Nathan for BBQing for us at all 3 tourneys
Thanks to you all.
Thanks also to the following gentlemen Steve , Matt, Paul, Rob, Chris. These fellas put in a good deal of work to put this 3 tourney series together.
