Some of the people who keep our community fed never step food in the building.

Meet Aaron from Milan Web Development, a local web designer who helps keep our website running smoothly behind the scenes. He recently built our Seat at the Table landing page, and whenever something needs fixing, he’s just a call away.

A great website means that more neighbours can find us and get involved in a few short clicks. That matters a lot more than most people think.

Thank you, Aaron. We’re lucky to have you in our corner. 💛

This morning, the fine folks over at Westview Ford dropped off a bounty at our doorstep!

Through the month of September, they collected over 500 lbs of non-perishable items that will now make their way into the hands of local neighbours in need.

Hot dogs, hot chocolate and a fourth year of showing up for the Valley.

RBC Dominion Securities is hosting its annual food drive in support of the Comox Valley Food Bank, and everyone’s invited to stop by. Swing through the parking lot to drop off non-perishables, or stay a few minutes for a hot dog and a warm drink with the team.

📍 RBC Dominion Securities, 777 Fitzgerald Ave. (corner of Fitzgerald and 8th), Courtenay
🗓 Thursday, October 22, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
🥫 Bring non-perishable food or give by cash, credit or debit (tax receipts provided)
🚗 Drive-by drop-off available

Thank you to Charlene, Paulette and the whole RBC Dominion Securities team for making this a fall tradition. Four years in, it’s become one of the ways this community gets ready for the busy season together.

Tea, baking and original local art, all for a good cause!

St. George’s United Church is hosting a Harvest Tea & Silent Art Auction, and participating artists are sending the proceeds from their pieces to the Comox Valley Food Bank and L’Arche Comox Valley.

Come for homemade baking and a good cup of tea. Stay for photography, oil paintings, pottery and more from some of the Valley’s best-known artists. Every winning bid on a food bank piece helps keep our shelves stocked heading into the busiest season of the year.

📍 St. George’s United Church, 505 6th Street, Courtenay
🗓 Sunday, October 25, 3 to 5 p.m.
🎟 $20 on Eventbrite, at Laughing Oyster Bookstore or at the door

Seats are limited, so grab yours early.

Thank you to the St. George’s community and every artist who said yes. Since 2023, St. George’s has given more than $65,000 back to local organizations. We’re grateful to be one of them.

Huge shoutout to Amanda and the lovely team at Sereia Day Spa in Comox for supporting us during their anniversary event again in 2026.

This business comes through year after year for us. This time, they brought in a bevy of food donations, and some cash to boot! Our deepest appreciation, folks. This is what neighbours helping neighbours looks like.

Chop Chop Chop! Our volunteers are the heartbeat of the organization.

From managing client intake to processing and prepping rescued food, our work would simply not be possible without the amazing folks who so generously donate their time each day.

A heartfelt thanks 🙏
