Come Learn about Cohousing! We are opening our doors to the public on Sunday May 4 from 12 to 4 p.m.

Site tours will be given on the half hour, and the common house will be open for refreshments and viewing all afternoon. At 2 p.m., there will be a 30-minute talk about how to start your own community.

Cohousing is a growing movement, creating small neighbourhoods or condominiums where neighbours get to know one another, and children can play in a car-free space. While cohousing can range from small apartments to detached homes, the intent is to build community. British Columbia has 15 cohousing communities, with at least a dozen more in the forming or construction stages. See www.creeksidecommons.ca for more details.
