Come stitch your voice into the vote!

Visit Microgrant recipient Nicole Bertram (owner and lead at The Spool Sewing Studio Downtown Courtenay) at Pulse on the Plaza this Friday, August 28, and help build our Community Quilt for the 2026 Municipal Election.

Sew a house-shaped panel and choose a colour for the issue that matters most to you — water, environment, arts & culture, housing, getting around, or finance — and add a short, positive message for the incoming city council to see. Only 26% of eligible voters cast a ballot in the last election. Let's change that. General voting day is October 17, 2026 — come craft your vision for our city, then go vote for it!

Meet Terri Stelfox, who is featured in the current CV/Arts + Tin Town Cafe Member’s Show up now until September 3rd.

Terri’s piece, “Undulating” stands out as an elegant, minimal piece and we are 100% for it.

Tin Town Cafe will be closed from August 2–30. The exhibition will remain installed during the closure and will be available to view again when the cafe reopens on August 31, running through September 30.

The work on display is by current CV/Arts members, highlighting the depth and diversity of artistic practices across Comox Valley. From emerging artists to established makers, this micro-exhibition offers a glimpse into the ideas, materials, and creative voices shaping our region.

This partnership is rooted in a shared belief that art belongs in everyday spaces; woven into the places where we meet, connect, and spend time together.
