Shout out to our volunteer John!
He's been with us for 1 year, and in that time has volunteered nearly 2000 hours!
John does many things for us, from moving furniture and keeping the conveyor belt from overflowing to sorting the paper and bags your purchases come home in. He's patient and meticulous in everything he does! We miss him every year when he attends the Highland Games.
Thank you, John, for all that you do!

If you have some spare time and would like to come organize, tidy, test electronics, or anything else you think we might need, come in and apply! We're always happy to welcome new volunteers.

Too Good To Be Threw is closed Sept 30 for the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Join us at Lewis Park for the Spirit Walk!

September 30th is the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, and we're proud to help share the word about the 6th Annual Comox Valley Spirit Walk 🧡

"In orange shirts and ribbon skirts, moccasins and a feather, we embrace the spirits of the ancestors, and we all walk together."

On September 30th, the community will gather at Lewis Park at 10am and walk together through part of Downtown Courtenay, dressed in orange, to honour the survivors of residential schools, remember those who never came home, and recommit to the path of reconciliation.

This walk is organized by and for the community, and everyone is welcome to join.

We respectfully acknowledge that we live, work and play on the Unceded traditional territory of the K’òmoks First Nation, caretakers of this land since time immemorial.

Shout out to our fabulous volunteers! Thank you for all you do in supporting TGTBT.
Our store has an amazing group of dedicated volunteers who help make a difference by supporting us in many different ways in the day-to-day functioning of our busy store, and all of it benefits the Comox Valley Transition Society.
We're grateful for their dedication and time. We couldn't do it without them!
If you have a couple hours or more per week to spare and want to make a difference for our community too, come on in and fill out a volunteer application.
We're always accepting new volunteers for a variety of opportunities at TGTBT. Do you have a passion for yarn? We could really use a yarn sorter once a week! Fascinated by shiny things? You could test watches, card jewellery, or sort buttons! Want to stay active? We always need help at the receiving door moving furniture, breaking down boxes, running the conveyor belt, and more. And we always, ALWAYS need help keeping the floor tidy and clean.
This week's featured volunteer is Julia.
Julia is one of our many spectacular volunteers who help in the clothing department. Julia wears many hats and spreads joy and sunshine
wherever she goes. You'll probably recognize her smile and helpfulness from shopping in the store. When she's not here, she's even more busy with her advocacy work!
