Comox Valley BladeRunners BladeRunners is a youth employment program offered in the Comox Valley through NYSA. BladeRunners helps youth access training and employment opportunities.

A Youth Skills Link program that builds community partnerships and connects motivated, job ready youth with valuable employment opportunities in the Construction and Trades industry. Youth between the ages of 15-30, out of work and out of school, Canadian citizens, permanent residents, legally entitled to work in Canada, and not in receipt of Employment Insurance

ial BladeRunners is a BC stipend youth employment training program intended to provide employment to out of school and unemployed youth 16-30 years of age, with employment opportunities in the construction and trades sector and/or other industry sectors. Employers will have an opportunity to provide youth with up to 60 hours of work experience at NO cost to the employer. BladeRunners will

•Participate in 4 weeks of in-class foundation training skill enhancement
•Be eligible for safety gear and tools required for work
•Gain hands-on experience with power tools
•Obtain First Aid OFA Level 1, WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Ladder Safety, Asbestos Abatement and Respiratory Protection
•Obtain Forklift Operator Certification and Flagging Certificate, H2S Alive
•Participate in construction safety awareness
•Participate in up to 60 hours of work experience

*Other training courses offered include Customer Service & Tourism Training, Landscaping & Agriculture, Marine Host & Customer Service.
