Every year, North Island Festival of Performing Arts awards a scholarship to a graduating NIFPA participant. This year, we were able to award 2 students with scholarships.

We are pleased to announce that our second scholarship is being awarded to Linden Dumouchelle, from Studio North Dance Academy. Linden has attended NIFPA for many years and has been chosen to represent NIFPA as both a dance and music rep at BC performing arts festival in past years.

Congratulations, Linden! We wish you all the best as you continue on to pursue your BFA in Musical Theatre performance at Sheridan College.

Every year, North Island Festival of Performing Arts awards a scholarship to a graduating NIFPA participant. This year, we were able to award 2 students with scholarships.

We are pleased to announce that our first scholarship is being awarded to Kaitlin Mercer, from Innovate Dance Arts. Kaitlin has attended NIFPA for many years and gained a lot of growth and confidence as a dancer in her time there!

Congratulations, Kaitlin! We wish you all the best as you move into this next chapter, studying kinesiology at UBC.

◾️ North Island Festival of Performing Arts Student Scholarship Eligibility:
1. Living and studying within NIFPA boundaries (School Districts 68-Nanaimo/Ladysmith, 69-Qualicum/Parksville, 71-Comox Valley, 84-Vancouver Island West, 70-Alberni, 72-Campbell River, 85-Vancouver Island North, 47-Powell River)
2. Performed in two consecutive festivals (including the year of application) whose entries made them eligible for consideration as a representative at the Provincial Festival.
3. Registering in a full-time or part-time post-secondary program at a recognized education institution.
4. Previous scholarship winners are not eligible.

Happening today, at the Sid Williams Theatre!

The talented provincial representatives will perform during the Festival Showcase. The piano, musical theatre, voice and dance performers will wow you with their talent as they prepare to advance to the BC provincials festival. Admission for the Festival Showcase will be by donation at the door.

The Dance Gala showcases dancers from all over Vancouver Island who have been participating in the week long dance festival. Participating studios will be represented, as well as select pieces chosen by the festival adjudicators. Join NIFPA for an evening of outstanding dance entertainment! Tickets available through the Sid Williams box office (link in bio).
