Island Hearts of Hope is in the process of figuring out best places to donate to in light of the absolutely devastating fires happening throughout BC right now. Clinton in particular has been hit hard with substantial losses faced.
While we compile a list, if you would like to help us help, we are collecting only cash donations at this time. They can be sent via etransfer to [email protected] or by dropping off at UB Diving on Cliffe ave in Courtenay. To date we have donated $1000 to assist with fuel for those authorized to assist in livestock evacuations. Which for anyone who drives a truck knows that is about 3 tanks of fuel.

Thank you as always for helping us be able to help others in need and bridging the gap where services don’t exist in times of crisis.

Missing woman last seen in the Comox Valley

Comox Valley RCMP is requesting assistance from the public to locate a missing 40-year-old female from the Comox Valley.

Ashley Bosma was most recently in touch with her family on October 13, 2025.

She was last known to be wearing pink leggings and a grey sweater. Her hair is currently dyed brownish purple and blond. She has blue eyes and is approximately 5’4, 115 lbs.

It is unusual for Ashley not to be in touch with her family and this has caused concern.
