Our Commitment to Truth and Reconciliation

At Comox Valley Family Services Association, we recognize that meaningful change begins with listening, learning, and building respectful relationships.
We are committed to deepening our understanding of the history and ongoing impacts of colonialism, residential schools, and other experiences that have affected Indigenous children, youth, families, and communities.
We understand that reconciliation is not a one-time initiative or a completed task. It is a continuing journey that requires reflection, accountability, relationship-building, and action.
CVFSA is committed to learning, listening, and taking meaningful steps toward reconciliation in the work we do with children, youth, families, and our community.

We are continually amazed by how generously our local Rotary gives back to the Comox Valley. Their commitment to our community helps ensure more of our residents can access the equitable support and opportunities they deserve.
