Academic news this week: Our Grade 5 classes wrote their state exams in June scoring 83.3% as a class. The junior high Grade 9 classes wrote their BEPC state exam early in July and achieved exactly the same score of 83.3%.
Our high school graduating classes have just finished writing their state BACC exams over this past week and we anxiously await results that will be published in the newspaper in Madagascar.
The students have to live at another school in the country while they write, travelling there by bus. They sleep in one big room, on the floor, and then write an exam each morning and afternoon for 4.5 days. It’s a gruelling way to test one’s knowledge, seeming to also be testing one's stamina and resilience!

Our graduating students have written letters of appreciation for their schooling and experience at Tenaquip. They seem well prepared for the next phase of their education and lives!

Graduating students are honoured with a gift of flowers by their Grade 1 buddies. Grade 1’s were welcomed into the grades by these same Grade 11 students in September. Good luck grads!
