🍁⚽ THANKFUL FOR OUR SOCCER FAMILY!

This Thanksgiving, we're celebrating more than just the beautiful game. We're celebrating the people who make it all possible.

To our players who bring energy and enthusiasm to the field, our coaches and volunteers who give so generously of their time, our referees who help keep the game going, and the families who are there through every practice, game, and early morning — thank you!

Soccer brings us together, but it's the friendships, memories, and sense of community that make SVSC so special.

From our soccer family to yours, we wish everyone a safe, happy, and relaxing Thanksgiving weekend! 🍂

🔴⚫ One Club. One Community. One Love of the Game.

Don't argue with the science 👇🤣 And we won't be taking any questions!

Apparently, good touchline behaviour doesn’t just make grassroots football better…

It also makes you more intelligent, healthier and better looking. 😏⚽

We can’t possibly comment on the science.

But if you’re the parent who encourages, supports and keeps the shouting sensible congratulations. You’re clearly smashing life. 😂

🔴⚫ WHY DO YOU LOVE SOCCER? ⚽🎤

It's a simple question, but our young Blazers have some great answers! ❤️🖤

During this year's assessments, we put the microphone in front of our players and asked them what makes soccer special to them.

From friendships and fun to scoring goals and being part of a team, everyone has their own reason for loving the beautiful game.

And sometimes, hearing it from the kids themselves is the best reminder of why we do what we do.

This is what grassroots soccer is all about. ❤️⚽

🔴⚫ BLAZERS COACHES COLLECTION SERIES 2 ⚽
Fresh in stock in our Blazers Coaches Collection Series 2 is Coach Brett Thompson, Head Coach of our U17 Girls Blazers Red team for 2026/27!

Brett is one of the OG coaches at SVSC, having spent many years on the sidelines developing players and supporting teams throughout the club. He returns to this 2010 group after one season away, reconnecting with a group he knows very well as they head into their final youth soccer season.

One thing Brett still hasn't mastered after all those years? How to say no when someone asks him to help! 😄 Whether it's coaching soccer, working with ice hockey goaltenders, or more recently picking up the whistle as a soccer referee, Brett always seems to find another way to get involved.

Naturally, his action figure had to reflect all of it — soccer gear, tactics board, referee cards and whistle, plus some goalie pads and a hockey goalie stick as a nod to his time behind the bench at the rink. ⚽🟨🟥🏒🥅

We're excited to have Brett back with this group and leading our U17 Girls Blazers Red for 2026/27.

Thanks for everything you continue to do, Coach Brett — and maybe one day we'll teach you how to say NO! 😂

Have a great 2026/27 season!

🔴⚫ BLAZERS COACHES COLLECTION SERIES 2 ⚽

Fresh in stock in our Blazers Coaches Collection Series 2 is Coach Ian Butcher, Head Coach of our U14 Girls Blazers White team!

Ian has been a familiar face around SVSC for many years, contributing both on the field as a coach and off it as a member of our Board of Directors.

Anyone who knows Ian knows he likes to come prepared — usually with enough training equipment to run just about any session imaginable! So naturally, his figure comes fully loaded with red training mannequins, cones, tactics board and an equipment bag. And we couldn't make Coach Ian without a little nod to the fire service. 🚒🔥 - A hero on and off the field! 💪

Ian continues to bring his time, energy and commitment to developing our players and supporting the club, and we're excited to have him leading our U14 Girls Blazers White this season.

Thanks for everything you do, Coach Ian! Have a great 2026/27 season!

Organized by the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, the tournament was a great day of competition, teamwork, and school spirit.

It was also fantastic to see so many SVSC players representing their schools across the different teams and enjoying another day on the pitch! ❤️⚽

A big thank you to all the players, coaches, teachers, organizers, and supporters who helped make it another fantastic day of school soccer at SVSC!
