🍁 Thanksgiving Monday well spent! 🦃🚜

While most are enjoying their turkey dinners, our hardworking SVSA volunteers are out making progress on the A213 trail! 🌲🍂

A beautiful fall day for some much-needed brushing and trail maintenance as we get one step closer to snowmobile season! ❄️

And here’s the exciting part! 👀 This new section of trail will eliminate approximately 3 km of road running, making for a safer and more enjoyable ride for everyone this winter! 🙌🛷

A HUGE thank you to our dedicated volunteers who give up their time, even on a holiday, to keep improving our trail system. A special thank you to Clarence McDonald Excavation for the equipment💙

From falling leaves to flying snow… we’re getting ready! 🍁❄️

🏆 A HUGE congratulations to our very own Janique Hutchison! 🏆

Tonight at our first meeting of the 2026-2027 season, we were proud to recognize Janique as the recipient of Outstanding Woman in Snowmobiling for BOTH the Upper Canada Snowmobile Region - OFSC District 1 and The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs - OFSC for the 2025–2026 season!

If you were around our groomers last season, chances are you saw Janique hard at work. Not only is she an incredible mechanic who spent countless days in and out of our groomer keeping things running, but she did it all while bringing along and caring for her little one, who was only 3–5 months old at the time!

Her dedication, knowledge, hard work and commitment to snowmobiling and our club are truly something special.

Janique, we are so lucky and proud to have you as part of Team SVSA. This recognition is so well deserved, and we couldn’t be more grateful for everything you do! ❤️

Please join us in giving Janique a HUGE congratulations! 👏🏆

📢 ONTARIO HOLDS THE LINE ON 2027 SNOWMOBILE TRAIL PERMIT FEES 📢 Partnership between OFSC and the Government of Ontario will help support the sustainability of Ontario’s snowmobile trail network

(Barrie, ON. September 30, 2026): Snowmobilers will see no increase in Ontario Snowmobile Trail Permit fees for the 2027 season, as the Government of Ontario and the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (OFSC) work together to balance affordability for riders with the long-term sustainability of the province’s organized snowmobile trail network. The commitment reflects a shared recognition that Ontario’s snowmobile trail system delivers value far beyond the ride itself.

📣 Hello everyone! We’re in search of a volunteer or team of volunteers to help with installing pickets and signs along a section of the SV42 trail east of Crysler. (We can provide any training, information, and/or tools needed). The route mainly consists of open fields, so no brushing or tree removal/cutting should be necessary. If you’re able to commit to the full section or even to just a portion of it, please reach out to us either through Facebook messenger or by emailing [email protected]
