Inspired by the distance Jesus was believed to have walked, they are taking on this incredible challenge with faith, strength, and huge hearts for our community 🙌

💸 4000$ 💰 We did it!!!

We have just surpassed the magical 4000$ mark in donations in support of Lighthouse Drop-in Centre and Centre 105 Cornwall !

This big moolah is going to help the true heroes of the city be simply even stronger heroes! Stand tall with your community! You have till May 29th to donate and blow the fuses straight off of this fundraiser!

💛✨ Community, Connection & Gratitude ✨💛

We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU 🙌 to the incredible Social Service Worker students from St. Lawrence College 🎓 for hosting such a beautiful community dinner in collaboration with Lighthouse Drop-In Centre in April 🏠💛

The evening was a true success 🎉 — filled with delicious food 🍽️, meaningful conversations 🗣️, and so much kindness and generosity 💕 It was amazing to see the care and effort put into creating such a warm, welcoming space for our community 🤗

Not only did the students organize an amazing event 🌟, but they also raised funds through their wellness basket raffle 🎟️🧺 and generously donated several items for us to share with our clients 🎁💛 Your thoughtfulness will truly make a difference!

We are so grateful for your hard work 💪, compassion ❤️, and dedication to giving back 🙏 You should all be so proud of the impact you’ve made ✨

Because of the kindness and generosity surrounding our drop-in centre, we’re able to provide free clothing 👕, shoes 👟, and other essential items 🧣 to those who need it most.

• Little Caesars 🍕 for donating pizza every Tuesday and Thursday — those meals bring comfort, smiles 😊, and something warm to look forward to.

Due to extreme cold temperatures anticipated this weekend, the Overnight Warming Centre is extending its hours and operating from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am on January 23, 24, and 25, 2026.

Normal operating hours will resume on Monday, January 26, as part of a partnership with The Agape Centre to operate the Warming Centre nightly until March 31, 2026, regardless of temperature.

No one should have to face cold winter nights without a safe place to go, and the City is committed to ensuring community members have access to this essential service.

En raison des températures extrêmement froides prévues pour la fin de semaine, le centre d’accueil nocturne prolongera ses heures d’ouverture et sera ouvert de 19h00 à 7h00 les 23, 24 et 25 janvier 2026.

Les heures d’ouverture normales reprendront le lundi 26 janvier, dans le cadre d’un partenariat avec le Centre Agapè pour offrir le centre d’accueil nocturne tous les soirs jusqu’au 31 mars 2026, peu importe la température.

Personne ne devrait avoir à affronter les nuits d’hiver sans un endroit sûr où aller, et la Ville s’engage à veiller à ce que les membres de la communauté aient accès à ce service essentiel.
