What a busy few weeks we have coming up as a club, and we love every minute of it because we know its from projects like these that we are able to do what we do, that is Serve the Community's Greatest Needs.

We certainly enjoy putting ourselves out there in the community and partnering with other organizations to help them along as well.

First up, this coming Saturday, October 3, we will be holding our 3rd Annual Mixed Dart Tournament at the Canadian Legion Branch 13 in Corner Brook. We wanted to bring them a full day of business because as we all know, the Legion can certainly use the additional revenue, just as well as anyone else

Then, Saturday October 24, we bring you our 3rd Annual KINtoberfest Curling Bonspiel at another great location, the Corner Brook Curling Club . We are also working on trying to bring a little fun activity where people can help us support Cystic Fibrosis Canada

and thirdly, on November 7, we bring you our 3'rd Annual Christmas Craft Fair at the Corner Brook Civic Center. Get your Christmas shopping started, or completed this day as we will have nearly 90 tables of local vendors and their local made products for sale. We will also have a table dedicated for the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Campaign for the third year in row where people can help support that cause.

So there you have it folk, a Trio of 3'rd annual events for our club. Without the continued support the community has shown us, events like these would not continue, so we hope these will carry on for many years to come.

The Dollywood Foundation Announces “Give Like Dolly Day” on September 25, Encouraging the World to Make a Difference in a Child’s Life

Give Like Dolly Day honors Dolly’s lifelong commitment to children and her Imagination Library

From coast to coast to coast, we are celebrating September 25 in honor of Dolly Parton and her commitment to helping children grow up surrounded by books.

Today, approximately 361 children in Corner Brook and the surrounding areas receive a free, high-quality book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Behind every book is a community of donors, volunteers, local partners, and supporters who believe in the power of giving.

On September 25, Give Like Dolly Day, you can help us continue reaching Corner Brook children and families. While it costs approximately $47 to provide one child with a full year of books, every donation is appreciated. Consider making a symbolic gift of $9.25 in honor of September 25 — or give whatever amount feels right for you.

Every gift helps us put books into the hands of local children and families, making a difference in their lives. 💕📚

Together, we can celebrate Dolly by helping more Corner Brook children discover the joy of books and reading. 🦋
