Yesterday was a great day for the Newfoundland and Labrador outfitting industry!
The Newfoundland and Labrador Outfitters Association (NLOA) was pleased to welcome the Honourable Andrea Barbour, Minister of Tourism, Culture, Arts and Recreation, along with our Board of Directors and staff, for a special media event announcing $100,000 in continued operational funding from the Provincial Government.
This investment is an important vote of confidence in our outfitting sector and in the tremendous role it plays in Newfoundland and Labrador’s tourism economy, particularly in rural communities across the province.
Our members provide world-class hunting and angling experiences to visitors from around the globe. With this continued support, the NLOA can build on that strength, promote Newfoundland and Labrador in high-value domestic and international markets, and create new opportunities for outfitters and the communities they call home.
We sincerely thank Minister Barbour and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador for their continued partnership and commitment to our industry. We look forward to working together to grow Newfoundland and Labrador’s reputation as a premier hunting and angling destination.
A strong outfitting industry means stronger rural communities, more visitors, and more opportunities for Newfoundland and Labrador. We’re excited about what’s ahead.
