Last week was another great week for the Newfoundland and Labrador Outfitters Association (NLOA) as we continued our commitment to supporting communities across the province.
Our Executive Director, Cory Foster, had the pleasure of donating stand-up freezers to two food banks on the east coast of Newfoundland.
The first freezer was donated to the Divine Mercy Parish Food Bank in St. John’s. Pictured here with Cory is Marion, who accepted the freezer on behalf of the Divine Mercy Parish Food Bank.
The second freezer was donated to the Northeast Avalon Food Bank in Flatrock. Pictured here accepting the freezer on behalf of the Northeast Avalon Food Bank is Vice-President Don.
Through this initiative, the Newfoundland and Labrador Outfitters Association has now donated freezers to more than 10 food banks throughout Newfoundland and Labrador. These donations help ensure that food banks have the capacity to safely store wild game meat donated by hunters and outfitters, allowing this valuable source of nutritious food to reach individuals and families in need.
We are proud to support our local food banks and the communities they serve, and we look forward to continuing this important initiative across Newfoundland and Labrador.
