FACE Foundation for African Children Education

FACE Foundation for African Children Education We Sponsor poor children to go to school in Africa We believe that every child should have the opportunity to attend primary school as a starting point.

We are convinced that education is the best way to break the cycle of poverty for children in rural areas of Africa. It is well understood that poor uneducated children grow up to be poor uneducated adults. Children of poor families are less likely to enroll in and complete schooling because of the associated costs of attending school.

What does your donation actually mean to a child in rural Ghana?

Hear directly from Eva, a teacher in Ejura, as she shares how F.A.C.E. supporters are helping create opportunities, strengthen families, and inspire hope through education.

Joined by longtime donor and two-time Ghana visitor, Moira, this conversation is a powerful reminder that changing one child's future can transform an entire community.

🎥 Please watch, share, and help us continue making a difference.

Just a few months ago, Vancouver, B.C. F.A.C.E. volunteer and board member Don Wolfe had the opportunity to connect with Clifford, a 5-year sponsorship recipient from the rural village of Mankoadze, Ghana.

With humility and gratitude, Clifford shared how F.A.C.E.’s ongoing support has helped shape his educational journey and created opportunities that once felt out of reach.

Behind every sponsorship is more than financial support — it is hope and the reminder that a child’s future matters.

Stories like Clifford’s are why this work continues. ❤️

The Seeds We Plant Are Beginning to Bloom:
During our March 2026 trip to Ghana, we reconnected with past F.A.C.E. student recipients who are now pursuing higher education, meaningful careers, and giving back to their communities.

Their stories are a powerful reminder of what hope, opportunity, and collective investment can make possible.

Thank you to every donor and supporter who continues to believe in this mission.

The 2026 FACE Ghana Road Trip begins 🇬🇭

Our first stop: Mankoadze Village.

We were welcomed with an incredible cultural performance by the children—full of energy, pride, and joy. Moments like this remind us that this work is about more than supplies… it’s about connection, dignity, and opportunity.

In this video, you’ll get a glimpse into what these visits really look like—meeting the students we sponsor, hearing their stories, and spending meaningful time together in their community.

Every smile you see is made possible by people like you.

Help us reach the next village.
Your support directly impacts a child’s education and future.

Most people donate and move on.
Some people go further.

FACE Foundation for African Children Education Founder George Piprah introduces two Canadians who chose to experience the impact firsthand—traveling to Ghana, purchasing supplies locally, and helping deliver them directly to students in rural communities.

No middlemen. No guesswork. Just real people, real effort, real change.

This is what your donation becomes.

If you’ve been watching from the sidelines—this is your moment to step in.

The FACE 2026 Rural Education Tour has begun.

Each year, volunteers from Ghana and Canada travel deep into rural communities across Ghana with one mission: turn generosity into opportunity.

With donations from supporters around the world, we purchase school supplies locally, organize them for sponsored students, and deliver them directly to the villages that need them most.

📚 Not just supplies — hope, education, and opportunity.

Your support helps us reach the next village.

Donate. Empower. Transform lives.

✨ From “a boy without dreams” to DOCTOR OF OPTOMETRY. 👓
Meet Andey Prosper Yirsob—once a child in Ejura, Ghana, fighting to get by after tragedy. With support from FACE and the generosity of Canadian sponsors, Prosper found hope, stayed the course, and refused to quit.

15 years later: he’s graduating as a Doctor of Optometry, ready to deliver eye care to underserved communities across Ghana. 🙌🏾

This is what happens when kindness meets perseverance. đź’™

Dr. Yirsob is proof that YOU can help write the next story.

🚰 A New Beginning in Bodoma! 🌍

During our recent visit to Bodoma village, we had the joy of celebrating the grand opening of a brand new water supply system! đź’§

In this powerful moment, Don Wolfe—Director of F.A.C.E. and a major donor—turned on the tap for the very first time. This well will bring safe, reliable water to both students and the surrounding community. 🙌🏾

Clean water is more than a resource—it's life, health, and hope.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible. đź’™

✨ The Fruits You Bear: Meet Stephen ✨

In April, we shared the story of a young woman whose journey from FACE sponsorship to becoming a teacher captured hearts. Today, we continue our “The Fruits You Bear” series with another powerful story of transformation. During our recent trip to the village of Afoako, we reconnected with Stephen Osei Karikari, a former F.A.C.E student who was sponsored for 8 years—from Primary 1 through Junior High.

Thanks to the support of F.A.C.E donors, Stephen is now thriving as a student at the University of Science and Technology, pursuing a degree at the Business School. His dream? To become a chartered accountant and play a vital role in Ghana’s future.

Hear from Stephen himself as he shares how the F.A.C.E program opened doors he never thought possible—and how your generosity can do the same for others like him.

Your support provides more than school supplies—it creates futures. 💛 Thank you for helping us change lives, one student at a time.
