Meet Andey Prosper Yirsob—once a child in Ejura, Ghana, fighting to get by after tragedy. With support from FACE and the generosity of Canadian sponsors, Prosper found hope, stayed the course, and refused to quit.

15 years later: he’s graduating as a Doctor of Optometry, ready to deliver eye care to underserved communities across Ghana. 🙌🏾

During our recent visit to Bodoma village, we had the joy of celebrating the grand opening of a brand new water supply system! 💧

In this powerful moment, Don Wolfe—Director of F.A.C.E. and a major donor—turned on the tap for the very first time. This well will bring safe, reliable water to both students and the surrounding community. 🙌🏾

✨ The Fruits You Bear: Meet Stephen ✨

In April, we shared the story of a young woman whose journey from FACE sponsorship to becoming a teacher captured hearts. Today, we continue our “The Fruits You Bear” series with another powerful story of transformation. During our recent trip to the village of Afoako, we reconnected with Stephen Osei Karikari, a former F.A.C.E student who was sponsored for 8 years—from Primary 1 through Junior High.

Thanks to the support of F.A.C.E donors, Stephen is now thriving as a student at the University of Science and Technology, pursuing a degree at the Business School. His dream? To become a chartered accountant and play a vital role in Ghana’s future.

We’re excited to launch a new series called "The Fruits You Bear" — stories from past students whose lives have been transformed thanks to FACE supporters.

In our first video, Board Member Don Wolfe interviews Miss Joyce Owusu from Bodoma. Sponsored by FACE through primary and junior secondary school, Joyce went on to finish senior secondary school and is now proudly teaching in her community!

📍 We’ve Arrived in Asokore! 🇬🇭

We’re thrilled to share that our team from F.A.C.E. (Foundation for African Children's Education) has safely arrived in the village of Asokore! Over the next few days, we’ll be delivering much-needed school supplies and resources to children and families in the area.

Update from Ghana! 🇬🇭✈️

Our team of six volunteers from the 2025 F.A.C.E. team in Vancouver, B.C., arrived in Accra a few days ago, and we’ve been hard at work ever since! We've already purchased all the school supplies for the children we sponsor, ensuring they have everything they need for the school year ahead.

Today, with some extra helping hands, we’re sorting textbooks, uniforms, shoes, pens, and pencils—carefully packing each backpack to match the right school grade level.

We’re excited for the next phase of our journey as we prepare to hit the road for our village visits in just a few days. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this incredible work on the ground!
