een these groups and Metro Vancouver Parks staff has been very successful. The partners have worked together to plan and implement wildlife enhancement projects, set up a community garden, organize community events and improve the trail system to provide greater access to people who use mobility aids. The partners also successfully raised funds to build a pedestrian bridge over the Coquitlam River.

Spring migration has already begun!

Have you seen any of these birds (or others) yet? Let us know in the comments below!

You can help migrating birds this spring by taking simple steps like:

🐈Keeping cats indoors or in an outdoor catio enclosure

💡Turning off lights at night and closing blinds to reduce reflection

🪟Putting up sticky dots on your windows to reduce collisions

If you do find an injured or distressed bird, you can always reach out to us for help via our webform: https://www.wildliferescue.ca/report-an-emergency

We truly enjoyed helping during the guided walks with the Kwikwetlem First Nation and Watershed Watch Salmon Society. It was such a meaningful experience to listen and learn while walking in the sunshine.

We were so happy to participate in such an amazing day!
