Low Entropy

Low Entropy Change starts within ✨ Empowering people with skills, confidence & community to thrive. The result of a low entropy system is Love.

Entropy simply means “the measurement of disorder,” something that has high entropy is disorderly, chaotic and inefficient. Something that has low entropy is very organized, harmonious and it works really well. We live in a social system, when our social system is unruly and we experience war, famine and destruction, we are living in a high entropy state. The opposite is a social system that coope

rates with acceptance and compassion for each other, a system that works together with encouragement and support. We chose the name “Low Entropy” as a Universal way to share the important message of Love.

🌈 Happy Pride Month! 🌈

At Low Entropy Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, and celebrated for who they are.

This Pride Month, we celebrate the strength, diversity, resilience, and joy of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. We recognize the importance of creating spaces where people can show up as their authentic selves, build meaningful connections, and feel a true sense of belonging.

We remain committed to fostering communities that are inclusive, welcoming, and supportive of people of all identities and backgrounds.

To our 2SLGBTQIA+ community members, volunteers, staff, participants, and supporters: thank you for sharing your voices, experiences, and perspectives. You help make our community stronger.

Happy Pride! ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🩷💙🤎🖤

Sexism exists, it has for a long, long time, and passive, lackadaisical, “just be nice” approaches are clearly just not good enough. Simply being aware or feeling bad are just not good enough. Today at the Low Entropy Blog, we present insights from Lauren Long, Macey Ragon and Ugochi Guchy Kalu that will, hopefully, inspire action.

We had a wonderful time celebrating the grand opening of Vancity's new Burquitlam branch! 🎉

Our team was proud to be part of the community celebration, connecting with local residents, sharing information about Low Entropy Foundation, and meeting so many amazing people throughout the day.

A big thank you to Vancity for inviting us to be part of this special milestone and for their commitment to supporting and investing in the communities they serve.

Community connection is at the heart of everything we do, and we are always grateful for opportunities to share our work, build relationships, and celebrate alongside our neighbours. 💛

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello!

Another incredible Thrift & Thrive cohort has officially graduated 🎉💛

Over the past few months, our participants have built leadership, communication, customer service, public speaking, financial literacy, and job readiness skills through workshops, mentorship, and hands-on experience at Thrift & Fund.

We are so proud of the growth, confidence, and connections we witnessed throughout this program. Watching participants step outside their comfort zones, support one another, and grow into stronger versions of themselves is what Thrift & Thrive is all about.

A huge thank you to all of our guest speakers, mentors, volunteers, and supporters who helped make this cohort possible.

Interested in joining a future cohort of the Thrift & Thrive Future Leaders Internship Program? Our next program will take place in the fall. Contact [email protected] for more information ✨
