Low Entropy

Low Entropy Change starts within ✨ Empowering people with skills, confidence & community to thrive. The result of a low entropy system is Love.

Entropy simply means “the measurement of disorder,” something that has high entropy is disorderly, chaotic and inefficient. Something that has low entropy is very organized, harmonious and it works really well. We live in a social system, when our social system is unruly and we experience war, famine and destruction, we are living in a high entropy state. The opposite is a social system that coope

rates with acceptance and compassion for each other, a system that works together with encouragement and support. We chose the name “Low Entropy” as a Universal way to share the important message of Love.

There is so much we can learn when we take the time to listen to someone from another generation. 💚

Through Bridging Generations, Maya had the opportunity to hear about the experiences of older adults and gain a new perspective on the lives, challenges, and resilience of generations before her.

Her reflection is a beautiful reminder of why intergenerational connection matters. When we share our stories, we learn from one another, challenge our assumptions, and discover just how much we have in common.

What happens when generations come together? 💚

For Maya, joining our Bridging Generations program was an opportunity to step outside of her usual circles, connect with older adults, and hear perspectives she may not otherwise have encountered.

Over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing Maya’s reflections on what she learned through the experience and the connections she made along the way.

Thank you, Maya, for being part of Bridging Generations and for sharing your experience with us! 🌱

Throwback to June!

Earlier this summer, our team had a wonderful time attending the Options BC Volunteer Fair, where we connected with community members and shared volunteer opportunities at Low Entropy Foundation.

A big thank you to Melissa and Harman for representing our organization and introducing people to the many ways they can get involved, build new skills, and make a difference in our community.

We're always grateful for opportunities like these to meet new people, build connections, and welcome future volunteers to our growing community.

Thank you to Options BC for hosting a fantastic event. We look forward to attending again in the future!
