What do you think happens when we finally gather in the same room?

Come take a look into the magic of the Y4RC Collaboratorium! Beyond the workshops and climate action planning, some of the most precious moments happen in the spaces in between.

Youth exchanged fresh ideas, shared personal stories, and even traded meaningful gifts with one another. 🎁💬

There’s much more to be said but we’ve decided to bundle it into our upcoming newsletter. If you want to have access to all the extras (and if you’re still on the fence about signing up for our next cohort and need more infos) NOW is your time to subscribe to our newsletter!!! Today is all about mixing art with impact storytelling! 🎨

Through last week’s Collaboratorium, we’ve captured moments where youths were using their creativity to tell a story, one that translates complex climate challenges into something that can resonate and spark people into action.

There is nothing quite like learning by doing, especially when nature is your classroom! 🔥🌿

Here is a glimpse of some hands-on moments from the Collaboratorium.

Learning new skills isn’t just a way to learn about the environment, it grounds climate action in real, tangible practices and shapes perspective about the ecosystems we are protecting.

The Collaboratorium is consistently one of the most unforgettable components of the Y4RC journey.

And the best part? It happens not once, but TWICE per cohort! ✌️

Here is a peek at some beautiful moments spent on trails and outdoor walks; rain or shine, PEI had lots of scenery for our participants to discover.

🌦️ With a rainy day in Prince Edward Island, a LOT of wonderful sessions happened as the full programming begun. Youths connected across their areas of interest and expertise and met with multiple mentors from across the province. They also worked on scenario planning and adapting to unusual situations. Spirits are HIGH and with or without sun, we’re definitely making the best out of this time spent together.

Can’t wait for what tomorrow will bring!!!

Our youth volunteers will connect with leaders like…
Mary Finch!

Mary Finch is the Watershed Ecologist with the Province of Prince Edward Island, where she’s been working for the past 10 years. She has over 25 years of experience in aquatic biology and a long‑standing interest in freshwater ecosystems, watershed management, and practical, on‑the‑ground conservation. Mary earned her BSc in Marine and Freshwater Biology from the University of Guelph, with a minor in Environmental Studies, and completed her MSc at the University of Waterloo, where she researched the population dynamics and life history of a small fish species at risk. Over the course of her career, she’s enjoyed supporting community groups and partners in planning and implementing habitat improvement projects, as well as participating in public education and outreach activities.

Our team is arriving tomorrow on site to prepare for the start of the Collaboratorium IN 2 DAYS! 🤭
