Hours turn into days. Days turn into weeks. And still, our volunteers never stop.

They show up—again and again—so we can continue improving our community, protecting our fishery, and preserving our environment. From collecting fish and hatching eggs to feeding and nurturing every stage of life, the work never ends.

And it isn’t easy. Not when infrastructure is failing. Not when roofs are collapsing. Not when the cost of fish food and daily operations keeps climbing at an unsustainable pace.

But through every challenge, our volunteers keep going.
They are supported by dedicated sponsors and a community that refuses to give up. Together, we push through the obstacles, driven by a shared belief in what we’re building and protecting.

Because this work matters. And because we know that, together, we can keep making a difference.

A big win for conservation today! With the help of our incredible volunteers, we successfully fin‑clipped and released all of our rainbow trout. Fin clipping helps us identify hatchery fish once they’re in the wild, giving us important data to support long‑term fisheries management.Huge thank‑you to everyone who showed up and put in the work. Your time, energy, and passion help protect the future of our local waters. 🌊🐟

We ran this event with Georgian Bay Forever. Our in school hatchery program wouldn't be possible without their help. They do so much for the community and the bay. Together we can do so much, make sure to check them out and support their awesome programs!

A big thank you to Georgian Bay Forever, Clearview Council, Doug Measures, GTAA volunteers and all of the families that came out to our first Class to Creek event. The rain and wind did not dampen our spirits! We released 2000 brook trout with the help of the community! Everyone had a great time learning about invasive species, trout redds and enjoyed a BBQ lunch. We look forward to gathering again next year!

That's a wrap. The Georgian Triangle Anglers' Association is done with its spring rainbow trout egg collections. We have filled our quota of 50,000 eggs and all of them are doing extremely well. Plenty have hatched successfully already! We couldn't do this without the help of all our volunteers, sponsors and the community hatchery program giving us their full support. Hundreds of man hours go into this every year and we couldn't do it without all of the support.

We hope to see everyone next weekend on May 23rd for our "From Class to Creek" stocking program at the Nottawa Baseball Diamond park.
