Subject: Volunteer Opportunity – Group Committee Treasurer

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope you are doing well. Our group has been fortunate to benefit from the time, energy, and support of many dedicated families, and we are currently looking for a parent volunteer to step into the important role of Group Committee Treasurer.
The Treasurer plays a key role in helping our group operate smoothly by overseeing basic financial tasks such as:
Tracking income and expenses
Yearly reports to Scouts Canada
Managing payments and reimbursements
Providing simple financial updates to the committee
Assisting with fundraising records when needed
No professional accounting background is required — just someone who is organized, reliable, and willing to help support the group. Guidance and transition support will be provided to help the new Treasurer get started comfortably.
This role is a great way to contribute directly to the success of our youth and programs while working alongside a supportive committee team. The time commitment is minimal and typically includes attending 1 committee meeting a month and handling periodic financial updates.
