Programs administered within the department include:
Labour market program - guidance and resources to assist members to employment or short term training e.g. course costs, employment requirements such as ppe or safety ticket costs, employment counselling, etc. Employment and career assistance - resume writing assistance, computer access for job search or career research, labour market informat
ion, faxing and photocopying services, etc. Short term training to employment program - short term training programs in partnership to enhance members skills and abilities to attain, maintain and enhance employability. Youth programs - support and provision of activities to provide youth with the information they need to learn about employment and make career and educational decisions. Disability programs - providing information for persons with disabilities on how to access the labour market, and resource referral on how to encourage persons with disabilities to access services.
