The Cadet Program has a long and proud history of providing young Canadians aged 12 to 18 with the experience of a peer-led program that is open to all youth, in a safe, yet challenging environment focusing on unique activities that will leave a positive lifelong impact. The Cadet program produces confident, self-sufficient leaders who form lasting friendships and are engaged in their communities,

while promoting physical fitness, healthy living, and fostering an interest in the activities of the Canadian Armed Forces. Cadets embraces Canada’s multiculturalism and diversity and allow young Canadians opportunities to meet other young people from across Canada and the world through international visits and exchanges. Ultimately, the Cadet Program offers Canadian youth a physically challenging, mentally stimulating, structured environment that promotes community and environmental responsibility as well as personal health and well-being. The programs are an important investment in our youth – many cadets are high achieving students that go on to become Canada’s future leaders. That is why the Government of Canada is committed to expanding the reach of these important programs so more Canadian youth can experience these tremendous and positive youth development opportunities and continue to strengthen communities across Canada.

The Cold Lake 664 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron recently held their Fill-a-Bus Day Foodraiser, and the results are simply wonderful!

Thanks to their hard work and the incredible generosity of our community, they raised:
📦 More than 200 kg of food to help stock our shelves!
💰 More than $500 in monetary donations to support our programs!

Seeing young leaders step up to make such a tangible difference in Cold Lake is truly inspiring. These donations come at a crucial time as we head into the busy summer months and continue working hard to keep our neighbors fed.

To the cadets, organizers, and everyone who stopped by the bus to drop off a donation: Thank you! You are the perfect example of community spirit in action.

This past month has been a month of blessings in charitable donations. We received a significant donation of canned cat food from SPCA, which was delivered to us by LTL Inc. A huge shout out to Silke at Rural Cat Spay and Neuter Clinic who organized this to make it happen.

We are very grateful to the ladies at Pet Valu (Cold Lake, AB) for collecting donations of the canned dog food we desperately needed. Thank you to the community for your generous donations!

And we are pleased to announce that we have been included in the Fill A Bus Day operated by Cold Lake 664 Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron on Saturday from 10:00 am - 3pm. The location is in the Sobeys Parking lot as far as I know. Pet Valu

664 had a great night, visiting the City Counsel, the local RCMP Station, and the main Fire Hall. Many thanks to all the members of all three locations for a fantastic experience!

664 Air Cadet Squadron attended Tuesday's Corporate Priorities meeting to observe municipal government in action. Cadets were welcomed by our city council members and administration and given a firsthand look at the inner workings of local government.
