A heartfelt thank you to Kids & Co. for the fantastic blog highlighting Ask Ayla and the journey that inspired it.

As one of the largest childcare and early education providers in North America, Kids & Co. touches the lives of thousands of families every day. Their willingness to shine a light on the challenges faced by families raising children with disabilities helps create greater awareness, understanding, and inclusion.

We’re also incredibly grateful to Gambit for building such an amazing platform. Their team generously donated their expertise and talent to help bring Ask Ayla to life, creating a powerful tool that now supports caregivers around the world in more than 65 languages.

What began as one family’s search for answers after Ayla’s devastating birth injury has grown into a global community where caregivers can find guidance, resources, and hope—24 hours a day.

Thank you, Kids & Co., for helping us spread the message that no caregiver should ever have to navigate this journey alone.

At Kids & Company, we are always looking for meaningful resources that can help support the families in our community. Parenting comes with many joys, challenges, and unknowns…

Some journeys change your life.
Others change the world.

What began with one little girl named Ayla has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.

Out of heartbreak, fear, exhaustion, and love… came purpose.

Today, the We Love Joy Foundation is helping families raising children with disabilities feel seen, supported, and less alone through:

✨ Inclusive children’s books that inspire kindness and empathy
✨ Camp Moonlight, a magical retreat experience for families raising children with disabilities
✨ Ask Ayla, an AI companion built from lived experience to support caregivers navigating some of life’s hardest moments

We are moms, dads, grandparents, caregivers, and advocates who know what it feels like to search the internet at 2am desperate for answers… while feeling completely alone.

That is why we built Ask Ayla.
Not as a replacement for medical care, but as a compassionate companion for the emotional and practical realities families face every single day.

And now something incredible is happening.

Doctors. Hospitals. Researchers. Rehabilitation leaders. Care organizations. Families across Canada and beyond… are beginning to take notice.

Because the truth is: caregivers are in crisis.
Families need support.
And no parent should have to navigate this journey alone.

This movement is about turning pain into purpose.
It’s about building community instead of isolation.
And it’s about creating a world where every child, regardless of ability, is valued, included, and loved exactly as they are.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us, believed in us, shared our story, purchased a book, donated, encouraged us, or simply stood beside us.

We are just getting started.

✨ Sometimes the universe quietly puts the right people in your path… and everything changes.
Last September, at the Vienna Waits Retreat at Whispering Springs, I had a chance meeting with an incredible woman, Ellyn from Ask Ellyn. At the time, I had no idea just how important that moment would become.

Because of that one conversation… because of that connection… something beautiful has been created.

💛 AskAyla, the world’s first AI companion built for parents and caregivers raising a child with a disability.

This isn’t just technology. This is lived experience, compassion, and a deep understanding of what families go through, because it was built by parents who are living it every single day.

For anyone who has ever felt alone, overwhelmed, or unsure where to turn… this is for you.

And it’s free for every family, always.

I am so grateful for how this all came together, for Ellyn, for the incredible team at Gambit, and for the belief that we can do better for families.

🌟 Meet Our First Moonlight Kid 🌟

His name is Jax Baker.
He’s 8 years old.
He loves hockey.
And he has the biggest heart.

And he just showed us what leadership looks like.

When Jax heard about Ayla, he didn’t ask what someone else could do.
He didn’t wait for adults to fix it.

On his own…
He gathered his most prized hockey cards.
Cards he loved.
Cards he collected.

And he sold them to raise money for Ayla.

Because in his 8-year-old heart, helping mattered more than keeping.

Jax Baker, you are officially our very first member of
🌙 The Moonlight Kids Club 🌙

You remind us that the brightest lights often come in the smallest packages.

We are so proud of you. 💛

💛 Drop a hockey stick emoji to cheer for Jax! 🏒

✨ An Evening Under the Moon ✨

Love is the most powerful force in the world.
It carries us through the unimaginable.
It turns grief into purpose and fear into courage.

This evening was born from Ayla’s journey, and how one little girl has inspired a movement to build a better world for the children who come behind her. What began in heartbreak has grown into action, advocacy, community, and hope.

An Evening Under the Moon at Whispering Springs, we will gather to celebrate courage, support families navigating disability, and continue building Camp Moonlight, Ask Ayla, and the work of We Love Joy Foundation.

This is more than an event.
It’s love in action. 🌙

🌙✨ Introducing The Moonlight Kids Club ✨🌙

At We Love Joy Foundation, we believe kindness has no age limit.

Today, we are launching something very special —
The Moonlight Kids Club.

A place where we celebrate children who shine their light by doing extraordinary things for kids with disabilities.

Sometimes it looks like sharing.
Sometimes it looks like fundraising.
Sometimes it looks like standing up for someone who needs a friend.

It always looks like love.

If your child has done something beautiful to support someone with disabilities, we want to feature them.

✨ Welcome to We Love Joy Foundation ✨

We are beyond excited to begin this journey with you.

What started as heartbreak became a calling. What felt like darkness became purpose. And today, we stand in hope.

Our Mission:
When a child’s life changes in an instant, love must arrive just as quickly.
We exist to bring hope, connection, and meaningful support to families navigating life-altering diagnoses, turning pain into purpose and isolation into community.

💛 Our Three Pillars of Hope

1️⃣ Ask Ayla
A global digital support platform designed to guide families in crisis, connecting them to trusted information, resources, and community. Our vision is to make Ask Ayla accessible in over 100 countries and 65 languages, with the goal of reaching every NICU across Canada.

2️⃣ Books with Purpose
Through our We Love Joy children’s book collection, we share stories of resilience, inclusion, and self-worth, placing meaningful books into the hands of children, schools, and families who need them most.

3️⃣ Camp Moonlight
Healing happens in community. Camp Moonlight brings families of children with disabilities together for restorative retreats filled with connection, joy, and the reminder that they are not alone.

This is just the beginning.
We are building something rooted in love, courage, and action.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for believing that even in life’s hardest moments, joy can still rise. 💛
