Big thanks to KW Excavating for clearing and brushing the trails over the weekend. Our riders will now have way better sight-lines, and no overhanging brush hitting their faces! Enjoy everyone!!

Coe Hill Riders ATV Club Charity Ride for the Tri-Township Food Basket
The Coe Hill Riders ATV club (CHATV) raised $3,910 with their third and final charity ride of the season. The weather was perfect for the September ride, organized as a Poker run. The group of 60 riders and 40 machines gathered at the Coe Hill Pavilion to register, leaving shortly after 9 am following the safety instructions, provided by Event Coordinator, Ashley Pyle.
At the midway break along the ride, Director of Training Desi O’Brien gave a lesson on how to repair a flat tire on the trail. Every driver also got to take home a tire repair kit, courtesy of CHATV.
CHATV is extremely grateful to the businesses and individuals who donated wonderful prizes for the raffle. These include Ashley Kehoe/The Edge Bakery, Bancroft Cottage Rentals, Bear Ridge Campground & Cottages, CHATV, Carolyn Henderson, J. Donnelly Construction, Lisa McMaster, Old Hastings Gallery & Mercantile, Red Eagle Family Campground, Tait Lake Retreat and Wally’s Pub. The donated raffle prizes were valued at $1,222.00
Although some riders were unable to attend, they were still part of the poker game, and every registrant had a door prize ticket. Top poker prizes included $250.00 cash; second prize was a CHATV Hat & T-Shirt, and third was a $25.00 gift card to Bear Ridge Campground and Cottages.
CHATV provided a hot dog lunch at the pavilion following the ride and then distributed the Door prizes, the top three poker hand winners, and the raffle prizes.
Vice-President, Norm Lewis thanked all the CHATV volunteers who worked hard to organize the ride.
CHATV encourages all ATV riders to ride safely and to use the QuadON app which shows all of the OFATV trails across Ontario, in real time.

RIDE SIZE
Maximum of 100 persons for this event. This is on a First Come, First Served basis, so register early.

DATES
Ride Date: Saturday September 26, 2026.
Registration: Starts NOW
Registration ends either on Sept 23 at 6pm or when we reach 100 participants (whichever comes first).

LOCATION and TIMES
Start and Finish: The Coe Hill Hockey Pavillion on Hwy 620 in beautiful downtown Coe Hill.
Sign-in Time: Between 8am and 8:45am (wristband policy in effect).
Ride Time: 9am Sharp.
Finish Time: Approximately 2-3pm.
Distance of Ride: Approximately 100km.

COSTS
$40 / Driver (includes 1 poker hand)
$10 / Extra Poker Hand (optional)
$40 / Passenger (includes 1 poker hand)
$10 / Extra Poker Hand (optional)
$20 / Passenger 8-15yrs old
*All Passengers must be on a Legal 2-Up ATV (no 1-up ATV's with aftermarket passenger seats) or in a Side by Side and must be over 8 Years old to attend.

POKER RULES
5 Card Stud.
In the event of a tie, a high card draw will be held.
(For kids 16 & 17 yr olds, their parent will be given their poker hand.)

HOW TO REGISTER
Registration is Online Only.
All Drivers must have a valid OFATV Permit to attend.
If you are not a permit holder, go to getapermit.ofatv.org prior to registering for this event and purchase a one-year permit ($195.) or a one-day permit ($30.) for your machine for Sept 26, 2026.

*Please E-Transfer full payment, the names of all riders and passengers, and any extra poker hands for each in the e-transfer message to [email protected]

Once your email transfer is accepted by us and you receive your bank email confirmation, you are registered. We will send you an email with a waiver prior to the ride.
***If you are an OFATV permit holder, but with a different club, please add the club name and your permit number to the e-transfer message as well.

WAIVERS
All Drivers and Passengers Must Sign Individual Waivers to attend. If any person is under the age of 18, a Parent or Legal Guardian must sign on their behalf.
A Waiver will be attached to your confirmation email and can be electronically signed, signed and emailed back to [email protected] or signed and brought to the sign-in desk when you arrive for the ride.
Once we confirm your waivers at sign-in, you will receive a wristband to qualify for the ride.
All Drivers must be at least 16 Years old AND have a valid Driver's License as there will be some road running.

OTHER INFO
This event is Rain or Shine.
Sorry, there are no refunds if you cannot attend after registering. You will still be eligible for prizes for a winning hand.
There will be 2 short breaks along the ride and 1 longer lunch break in between.
CHATVC will be providing a Free Hot Dog Lunch on this ride. All participants are encouraged to bring their own drinks (No Alcohol).
Coe Hill Rider T-shirts $20 and hats $25 will be on sale at sign-in. (cash only)
Raffle Tickets -1 for $10 and 3 for $20 will be available for sale at sign-in. (cash only)

More Great News!!!

The large culvert has been repaired on CH528 (Birch Lake Trail) in The Maze, and the trail is NOW OPEN!!!

Update-Caution! CH110 (Wollaston Limerick Rail Line) will be CLOSED TO ALL USERS Friday Oct 9th (Tomorrow) until 5pm from Old Hastings Rd to Hwy 62. There is NO Through traffic!!

Heavy Trucks will be dumping and spreading new gravel over the entire trail throughout the day. These TRUCKS CANNOT STOP while dumping.

The cottage owners that use the trail to access their properties should treat the trail as a one-way and may enter only from the Old Hastings entrance, and exit out the Hwy 62 side. Once the gravel is spread past their driveway, they can then carefully exit out the Old Hastings exit.

Your Permit Dollars at Work!!

Effective immediately, CH110 (Wollaston/Limerick Railway) will be CLOSED every Monday to Thursday from Hwy 62 to Old Hastings Rd for a Major Trail Rehabilitation until Friday October 2.

Plans are for major brushing back of the trail, repair the culverts, and to re-surface and grade the entire 3.5km’s of trail.

This project is a testament to how working together with our local Municipalities, local sponsors, local suppliers and our local snowmobile clubs can achieve results that none of us could accomplish on our own.

The Coe Hill Atv Riders will be investing $30,000 towards all of the gravel and materials needed, as well as volunteers.

Limerick Township will be supplying all of the heavy machinery and operators.

The Old Hastings Snowriders will be supplying more volunteers on the ground.

And Freymond Lumber (who is a big supporter of both clubs) will be delivering and spreading all of the gravel needed.

A big thanks to everyone involved, as well as a special shoutout to Limerick’s Mayor Re-Elect Kim Carson for Mayor of Limerick, their council and all of their staff, who have always been, and continue to be big supporters of our club!!!
