Pray for the members of First Baptist (El Calvario) Church in Havana as they love & serve their community in this difficult time (even as their own building located next door sustained significant damage as well).

Student Services Assistant

At: Canadian Southern Baptist Seminary

Wages: $15.00/hr part-time position of 10-12 hours per week

The Student Services Assistant will work under the general direction of the Director of Student Services and will participate in the operational objectives of the department and support the Director of Student Services.

Responsibilities are as follows:

• Help with Friday Fellowships
• Assist in Women in Ministry planning and activities
• Help with Student Council initiatives as needed
• Assist in select Student Activities
• Produce email announcements related to students
• Keep and maintain Student Services Department records
• Carry out other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Requirements:

• Character to work responsibly, fairly and harmoniously and maintain open and clear communication in all seminary/college relationships
• Has a growing personal faith in Jesus Christ.
• Express some evidence of leadership gifts and administrative abilities.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Should have a strong desire to care for students’ needs and be able to relate well on a personal level.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality with respect to matters sensitive to CSBS&C.

All High School and University students in churches in Alberta are invited to the Live 2 Live event. All students are asked to invite their lost friends to the Friday outreach celebration where they will hear the Good News of Jesus and have an opportunity to respond to it. Invited lost friends will not pay any cost.

On Saturday all church students will receive training on evangelism and those who received Jesus on Friday will attend a Q & A session for new believers. All church students are asked to register on link below for material and food preparations, please check of waiver questions and food allergies. If under 18 they need to have parents complete the registration and release/waiver questions. Student and youth leaders are asked to collect $10 per church student and pay at event.

Please use promotion video on link below to promote the Live 2 Live event during your church announcement time. Ask your church to pray for this event and ask your students to pray and invite their lost friends. Our goal is that all our young men and women invite at least one lost friend to hear the gospel.

Please note that all young men will sleep at Bow Valley Baptist Church and the young women will sleep at Seminary. Everyone needs to bring their own sleeping bag, pillow and portable mattress if preferred. Transportation from Church to Seminary will be provided.
