"Skoki was truly a great bear and his legacy is one of education, compassion, and a deep connection between people and wildlife. We hope his story continues to inspire everyone to help keep wild bears wild:
🐻 Don’t leave food out while camping or hiking
🐻 Limit time spent watching wild bears from cars
🐻 Keep pets on-leash to prevent human-bear interactions "

This is the second year for the Community Tree Fruit Round-Up organized by the Town of Cochrane. If you have fruit trees in your yard you may want to take advantage of this initiative to harvest and collect surplus fruit to reduce wildlife attractants in the community.
All collected fruit will be donated to feed animals at the Cochrane Ecological Society or to feed humans (clean, picked fruit only) through several local organizations.

The Community Tree Fruit Round-Up is back β€” and the first drop-off day is coming up on Saturday, August 23! This community initiative helps reduce wildlife attractants and supports both local food programs and wildlife rehabilitation
