We have had an incredible amount of donations come in, and there is still more arriving. We have household items, pots and pans, toiletries, clothing, and so much more. And yes… there is enough clothing to outfit the whole town! ❤️

Please come and take what you need. There is no shame in accepting help — this is what community is all about.

The generosity from people in 100 Mile House and area, the Lower Mainland, and beyond has been absolutely overwhelming. We are so incredibly grateful to everyone who donated, helped load everything in, transported donations, and spent today sorting and organizing.

Thank you so much Jordan and the Kamloops Food Bank for helping our community. We appreciate it so much. 🙏

Jordan from United Steel Workers local 1417 was born and raised in Clinton BC.

The local has been a strong supporter of the Kamloops Food Bank for many years. During the recent wildfire near Clinton – Jordan was a volunteer firefighter helping save his town.

We – the Kamloops Food Bank – filled his truck with donations for Brenda and her team at the Clinton food bank in preparation for folks returning to their homes.

Thank you Jordan for your dedication to our community and yours!

I wanted to post a little update to let everyone know what we are working on at Bethel Church and the Food Bank. We just want to do what we can to help as we all try to get sorted out, settle back in, and find our way back to normal after the evacuation.

We are receiving quite a few donations of clothing and miscellaneous items, and we will be setting these things out at Bethel Church very soon. I’ll post as soon as everything is ready and we can open it up to everyone. This is available to anyone who needs something, so please come and have a look. There is no cost.

At the Food Bank, we are also expecting to have grocery items available soon. This will be open to anyone in Clinton and the surrounding area who is in need of some basic food items. Again, I’ll post as soon as we have everything ready to hand out. There is no cost, and it is open to everyone who was affected.

We just want to make coming home a little easier and, hopefully, a little less stressful. If we can help take care of some of the basic necessities while everyone gets settled and back on their feet, then that is what we want to do.

You simply need to be a resident of Clinton and the surrounding area. We were all affected by the wildfire and evacuation in different ways, and we know that getting home doesn’t mean everything is suddenly back to normal.

We’re neighbours, and we’re here to help one another. ❤️

Just an update on the status of the Clinton Food Bank. We have some major cleaning to do in there and sanitizing. I do not expect to be open by Tuesday. We also have little to no food in there yet. We will open on a non-regular Foodbank day as soon as possible. I will keep you posted when we will have food available to disperse. In the meantime, I hope you have gathered a few groceries before you got back to town as there was really nothing here ready for any of us. We will do our best to get things running again as quickly as possible. Thank you for understanding.
