Congratulations to the winners of our first Team Trivia Challenge - The Fire Dogs!! This team knocked out 18 other teams to win in the nail-biting finale! The winner of our last place prize (only 8 points behind the winner) goes to the "Just Guessing" team - who have now secured next years free entry and the right to pick one category of their choice! Thank you to all the rest of the teams that showed up and supported our fundraiser and to all the business and private donors for some great items in the Silent Auction. A huge thank you also to our partner, Living in Love Events & Vendor Collective and the Clearwater Ski Hill for providing the perfect venue, logistical support, delicious food and bar service. Thank you also to our event staff and volunteers MC Mayor Merlin Blackwell, Trina Fitzpatrick, Denica Kelly and Kerry Milner Cairns for keeping the event running smoothly! Our program raised $2597 - this amount will be matched in whole or in part by the Province of BC as part of our annual Raise a Reader fundraising campaign. All funds raised from team fees and some of the silent auction will go directly to local literacy programs such as the Free Tax Clinic, Adult and Youth Tutoring, the Bright Red Bookshelf, Family Literacy Week, and children's reading programs.

Congratulations to Trina and Madeleine for completing their Tutor Training! Both these wonderful ladies are passionate about life-long learning and helping people. They join Kim and Laura as our newest volunteers for the Youth and Adult Tutor Program!
