🥛💙 Happy World Milk Day! 💙🥛

To celebrate, our Orono Fair Ambassador Bethany enjoyed a visit at a local dairy farm and got to see first hand where milk begins its journey. Did you know the Blue Cow logo means your milk is made with 100% Canadian milk? Or that one dairy cow can produce approximately 25-30 litres of milk per day!

Today we’re celebrating Canadian dairy farming, agricultural education, and the dedication that goes into producing high-quality milk right here in Ontario!🐮🇨🇦

The Rotary Club of Bowmanville has always shown up for us during fair weekend and now it’s our turn to show up for them. We’d love to see our amazing volunteers head out to Ribfest, lend a hand, and support a community organization that continually supports the Orono Fair! 👏🏻✨

🌽🔥 Ribfest is just around the corner and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this year’s event another huge success!

From setup and ticket sales to beverage tents and cleanup, there are lots of opportunities to lend a hand and be part of one of our community’s favourite summer events. It’s a great way to connect with fellow members, support our community initiatives, and have some fun along the way!

We braved the chill at Maplefest and loved every minute of it! From meeting so many amazing people, to building new connections and chatting all things Orono Fair. Days like this remind us what it’s all about!

We even recruited some new volunteers (welcome to the fair family 👏🏻), and of course, Keith, our favourite parking attendant made his usual stop to say hi

The Orono Agricultural Society is proud to recognize Don Armstrong as a recipient of the Agricultural Service Award, presented annually at the January AGM.

This award honours individuals who have demonstrated outstanding dedication and service to our local agricultural community and the continued success of the Orono Fair & Orono Agricultural Society

Don is the definition of commitment. For more than 15 years on the board, he has given countless hours to support the Society, always showing up early and staying until the job is done. Often helping behind the scenes, Don is always ready to lend a helping hand wherever it’s needed. His impact goes far beyond a single role. Don has been involved in nearly every aspect of the fair and has volunteered across many events and initiatives within our community. His reliability, generosity, and passion for agriculture and community spirit make him a truly deserving recipient

The Orono Fair is built on the dedication of volunteers like Don, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has contributed over the years. Congratulations, Don, and thank you for your unwavering support of the Orono Agricultural Society and our community! 🙌🏼✨
