🌾🎡🎟️🎠🚜👨🏼‍🌾 We are an Agricultural Fall Fair that runs the first weekend after Labour Day in September.

Our Fair has been hosted by the Orono Agricultural society since 1852. The fair annually features exquisite displays and competitions involving paintings, photographs, agriculture (fruits, vegetables and crops), livestock (sheep, cattle, poultry and rabbits), flowers, knitting, woodworking, sewing, crafts, school displays, culinary creations and many other artistic works. As well as one of the largest midways throughout the area.

A little fall fun at Applefest! 🍎🍂

Our Orono Fair Ambassador, Reed, and the Ambassador Committee crew spent some time enjoying Applefest, connecting with the community and taking in the festivities!

The fun isn’t over yet! Applefest is happening until 5pm today, so there’s still time to head out and enjoy everything this fall tradition has to offer! 🍁

Happy Thanksgiving from the Orono Agricultural Society! 🍂

A little throwback to when our Orono Fair Ambassador, Reed, celebrated the harvest season at the Newcastle Harvest Festival!

Thanksgiving is a time to appreciate the people, traditions and agricultural roots that bring our communities together. We’re especially thankful for our local farmers, volunteers and everyone who continues to support the community and our small-town traditions

From all of us at the Orono Fair, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family, friends and plenty to be grateful for! 🧡

We’re incredibly proud to provide a place where community, generosity and meaningful causes can come together ❤️

The Wyatt Carr Memorial has grown into such a special event, and we’re grateful to play a small part in helping the Carr family and their incredible team continue Wyatt’s legacy while giving back to SickKids and our community.

Thank you for the kind words and for continuing to choose the Orono Fairgrounds as a home for this event. We look forward to seeing this partnership and the Wyatt Carr Memorial continue to grow for many years to come

Reed spent his Saturday out in the community at the Wyatt Carr Memorial Car Show, supporting an incredible event with an even bigger impact 🚗👏🏻

This year, the Wyatt Carr Memorial raised an amazing $25,404.25 for SickKids, bringing their five-year fundraising total to more than $107,500! Their fall show also collected 170 lbs of non-perishable food for the Clarington East Food Bank.

We’re proud to have our 2026-2027 Orono Fair Ambassador out supporting events like this and connecting with the people and organizations that make such a difference in our community. Thank you to the Wyatt Carr Memorial organizers, volunteers and everyone who continues to support this incredible cause!

Yesterday, Reed spent the day at Convergence in Oshawa, exploring art, meeting the people behind the installations and getting involved along the way! ✨🎨

One of his favourite stops was the butterfly installation, Kaleidoscope. It was especially meaningful because he has photos of his sister Lily making a kaleidoscope, making the name of the piece a fun connection for him. Underneath the installation were miniature versions of the butterflies, where the artist was teaching kids how to create their own.

Reed also enjoyed chatting with the people behind the installations and even got to leave his creative mark by drawing on the tank from the Ontario Regiment RCAC Museum 🙌🏼
