We are an Agricultural Fall Fair that runs the first weekend after Labour Day in September. Our Fair has been hosted by the Orono Agricultural society since 1852. The fair annually features exquisite displays and competitions involving paintings, photographs, agriculture (fruits, vegetables and crops), livestock (sheep, cattle, poultry and rabbits), flowers, knitting, woodworking, sewing, crafts,

school displays, culinary creations and many other artistic works. As well as one of the largest midways throughout the area.

Take learning beyond the classroom and onto the farm!

Homeschool families, Montessori programs, daycare groups and curious young learners are invited to experience Friday Farm Fest in the Agventure Zone on Friday September 11th from 10am-4pm at the Orono Fair! 🌾🚜

🐄 Meet farmers & farm animals
🩺 Learn from a veterinarian
🐴 Meet a farrier
🌾 Discover agriculture up close
🎤 Catch live demonstrations every 30 minutes at the AgZone Stage!

And thanks to the generous support of The Veggie Shack, the first 150 kids receive FREE admission on Friday! Once the 150 complimentary child admissions have been claimed, regular Fair admission applies

Can’t join us Friday? Agventure Zone demonstrations will continue Saturday and Sunday throughout Fair weekend

It takes an incredible team of volunteers to bring the Orono Fair to life each year, and there are still lots of opportunities to get involved throughout fair weekend 🙌🏼

High school students, it’s also a great way to earn your community volunteer hours while getting involved right here in Orono

PARKING REMINDER FOR FAIR WEEKEND! 🎡

Heading to the Orono Fair? Here’s what you need to know before you go!

🚫 There is NO general public parking or access at the south end of the fairgrounds off Rowe Street. On-site parking in this area is reserved for vendors, volunteers, exhibitors, sponsors and accessible parking permit holders

🚙 Limited FREE public parking is available at the north end of the fairgrounds off Centreview Street. Princess Street is walk-in only

🚌 For the easiest option, use our FREE off-site parking & shuttle!
📍 5900 Main St., Orono. Access the parking area from the Main Street North/Taunton Road area and follow the signs. Our FREE shuttle buses will run continuously between the off-site lot and the fairgrounds for an approximately 5-minute ride!

Please help us be good neighbours and avoid parking on the streets throughout town, keeping them clear and accessible for residents and emergency vehicles.

Plan ahead, follow the signs and we’ll see you at the 172nd Orono Fair! 🌾🎡

We’re looking for volunteers to join us for Set Up Day on Monday, September 7th, with shifts available from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM-3:00 PM

It’s a great way to get involved with the Orono Agricultural Society, lend a hand behind the scenes, and an especially great opportunity for high school students looking to earn volunteer hours! 🙌🏼

Signing up is easy through Vome, our volunteer management system. You can choose the opportunity and shift that works for you and keep track of your volunteer hours right from your phone
