Today at our Rotary lunch, we were pleased to welcome Brian Wierks, who gave our club an update on the Chilliwack Fraser Charitable Foundation.
The Foundation is a volunteer-run, registered Canadian charity with a simple but important goal, investing in the future of local students through education. 🎓
The Foundation raises and manages funds to provide scholarships to Chilliwack students pursuing their post-secondary education. Each year, six $3,000 scholarships are awarded to successful local applicants.
But it’s more than just scholarships. Through fundraising, community partnerships and the generosity of donors, the Foundation works to create opportunities for young people in our community and help remove some of the financial barriers to further education.
We were grateful to hear from Brian about the Foundation’s work, its continued growth and the impact it is having right here in Chilliwack.
